No copyright infringement intended. Courtesy of the BBC and Top Gear themselves. Jeremy Clarkson tests the new Audi R8 V10 and the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 on Top Gear. This video amused me for a couple of reasons. Firstly it's a slap in the face to ZR1 fanboys who operate a total, 100% zero tolerance policy when it comes to any criticism so they won't like this one bit. Secondly, it throws a real spanner in the works (I think) to the whole ZR1 vs GT-R debate as the GT-R's lap time was actually quicker. However I enjoyed the clip and would like to share it with others. It should have been shown in the last series but never did for some reason. If there's one thing I never tire of with the ZR1, it's the noise. It's an epic soundtrack. ATTENTION: There appears to be a rumour going around that Clarkson owns a C6 ZR1. This is not true. Repeat, NOT true.

Culminando un glorioso capítulo de 4 décadas en la historia automovilística del País, el domingo 23 de Agosto de 2.009 se cumplieron 40 años de la Misión Argentina a las 84 Horas de Nürburgring. La Federación Argentina de los Torino realizó un homenaje a su Jefe Técnico, Oreste Berta, quien junto al equipo de mecánicos que lo acompañó en Alemania, recibieron en La Fortaleza de Alta Gracia, a más de 120 Torino provenientes de todos los rincones de la Patria. Quienes no dudaron en recorrer cientos o miles de kilómetros para estar presentes en este día histórico. Los felices asistentes, pudieron expresarle personalmente al Mago , y sus viejos colaboradores, todo lo que significó su tan meritorio desempeño. El homenajeado agradeció emotivamente la pacífica invasión que los Torino hicieron a su taller y a su ciudad. Raúl Barceló nos transporta con palabras a través del tiempo y la distancia, vamos a viajar en el hilo de su relato hacia Nürburgring a los días previos de la Maratón de la Ruta. Cuando todo era esperanza, pasión y trabajo, mucho trabajo. Hace especial mención del Director General, Juan Manuel Fangio, y los directivos Carlos Lobbosco, Tibor Teleki, el Dr. Lino De Las Heras y todos los Pilotos. Luego, nos presenta a los hombres que nunca se ven en cámara, los desconocidos de siempre, sin los cuales nada hubiera sido posible, los mecánicos, chapistas, electricistas, etc. de la Misión Argentina: Andreu, Comari, Giaconi y Huertas, junto a ellos menciona a Cordero, y Zagaglia y en homenaje a quienes ya partieron, trae el recuerdo de Batelli, Casarín, Diez, Macagno, Sainz, Sanfeliú y Zurita.
