On September 30, 2009, Minji Kim, traditional percussionist, dancer, and a Republic of Korea 2009 Korean Traditional Artist-in-Residence, performed an evening of folk music on the changgo, an hourglass drum at the heart of traditional Korean music. The night's program began with an introduction by Dr. Ju-Yong Ha, composer and ethnomusicologist, who also provided commentary before each of the three musical selections: a kayagum sanjo, a duet for haegum and changgo, and a solo percussion piece for changgo. Minji Kim was accompanied by Gee Sook Baek on the kayagum and Lee Kyung Kang on the haegum.

This is a possible opening credits. What do you think? I was a little mad before, and I thought this song would be perfect to sum up some things. Ugh, I think the voiceover at the end, is the wrong timing. =D

READ THIS IF YOU THINK CLIMATE CHANGES ARE TOO BIG TO HANDLE IN YOUR OWN LIFE: http://facebook.com/ido30 Some might argue that we can't make a difference. It's easy to think that big companies and politicians don't give a damn about our planet, so we ordinary people might as well give up. Well, we agree that it can seem too complicated to even try. But we really really believe that it's important never to give up. We believe that if enough people push hard enough, then ideas can turn into reality. The world will start turning in the direction we focus on. So lets focus on the small things we CAN do. This is where I do 30 comes in. There are lots of possibilities to save CO2 in our lives. Washing our clothes is one of the most energy consuming actions in our households. The big sinner here is the heating of the water. The more heat = more electricity = more CO2 emission. Many people still wash most of their laundry at 60 °C where low temperature washing could do the trick. Of course we shouldn't be fanatic! Sometimes it's still wise to wash at high temperatures. Use your common sense and ask yourself if a shirt needs to be boiled after a day's use. Malous family actually started to wash at 30 °C after they heard about I do 30 . So its important to communicate this message. And that's why we really appreciate that they wanted to help spread this simple idea to the world. One fantastic way to tell other people about this is by joining the I do 30 page on Facebook. It's really simple, but it can make a difference if enough people see it and change their habits. If you are on Facebook, visit http://facebook.com/ido30 I do 30 is started by Novozymes who produces enzymes that help reduce CO2 emission, for example by making it possible to wash at lower temperatures. (If you're not on Facebook you can read more on http://ido30.org)

At 19,340 feet, Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest freestanding mountain in the world and a daunting climb for any person to attempt. But Bonner Paddock isn't just any person. Born with cerebral palsy, Bonner has limited motor function in his lower body, spastic leg muscles, and no sense of balance. Not a mountain climber by his own admission, Bonner's encounters with kids with CP inspire him to take on Kilimanjaro in order to raise awareness about cerebral palsy and to raise funds to build a comprehensive center for children with disabilities. With months of training under his belt and driven by his own determined spirit, it seems Bonner can't fail. But Bonner soon learns that there is no preparation for what he finds on the mountain. Over 8 days and 64 miles, the steep climbs, freezing temperatures, and ever-thinning oxygen test not just his physical abilities, but his will. Ultimately, in order to summit Kilimanjaro Bonner will have to go beyond the limits -- physical and mental -- that we set for ourselves.
