Yeah, so I bought a stupid vanity plate. I included a tool tip for geek girls, too.

Here's a piece of me running around Milan during VlogEurope06, which was an inspiring place to meet/eat/discuss inspiring things. I cannot wait for next year as this was THE new media conference of the year for me. Check my videoblog for the video if you are in the mood.

I now have a co-working space in my house. Basically, a bunch of node101ers and Open Source geeks are going to start working here.

What Vloggercon means to him.

Just like the title says, a promo for Vloggercon.

We're talking Node101 of course. A bunch of folks in a workshop decided to make a video with some of their own answers. Then we edited them together. Here's the result (it was our first time using FCP). If you're interested in creating video and putting it on a blog, some to one of our free workshops.

I'm teaching a class at bavc.org, and I'm uploading a riveting video.

We went to the Echo Park Film Center to participate in a videoblog showing by Roger of 93mm.org. What a great place to learn about making media. The center's director Pablo was a wonderfully warm person and gave a great overview of the Center's workings.Click the pic tp view the video (actually, it's dark in the room for the screening and so mainly just listen to this articulate and warm individual describes the center. It is obviously his passion.

While cruising the MacWorld Exhibition with Schlomo, we spoke with Debbie of the Bay Area Alterative Press. We had a lot in common and might be able to help each other out. She was in one of the small booths in the back, next to the EFF. I think there's more interesting folks back there in the 'cheap' seats as most of the main floor was mainly just iPod accessories.

Here's a short clip showing the equipment we were using in the video editing booths while the Ex'pression College event was going on. Here, Fernando, Chris Ritke, Richard Pascual and I try to figure out how to capture from the digital tape into Final Cut Pro. This was a first time experience for all of us (I had never even held a DV tape before). Luckily, we had help from Jon Scanlon of Ex'pression. Thanks Jon! Jon got us going, but we ditched FCP and used iMovie instead. It was easier as none of us knew FCP! Then we got our next suprise: unsynced audio!
