Filed under: News, New Music, Exclusive, Movies Alexandra Patsavas, the music supervisor for the 'Twilight' films, doesn't want to pick a favorite when it comes to the 15 tracks on the 'New Moon' soundtrack. "Oh gosh, that's like asking a mother to pick her favorite child," Patsavas tells Spinner. After a long pause, she admits, "I'm especially proud that Thom Yorke agreed to be on the soundtrack." For his part, the Radiohead frontman submitted the unreleased, exclusive solo track, 'Hearing Damage.' "The track is physically transcendent, gorgeous and used at a key moment, almost in its entirety, in the movie," Patsavas reveals. Novelist Stephanie Meyer has sold more than 70 million copies of the 'Twilight,' series, her vampire-tinged, 21st century remake of the quintessential 'Romeo and Juliet' love story. The second film of the series is in movie theaters across the US now and its accompanying soundtrack, which also includes new music from Death Cab for Cutie, Grizzly Bear, the Killers, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Muse, Lykke Li and the Editors, has been riding strong on the Billboard Hot 200 for the last five weeks, at one point reaching No. 1.

Filed under: Concerts and Tours, News, New Music, Exclusive, Movies Actor/director Zach Braff gave Grammy-nominated English pop star Imogen Heap plenty of exposure in America when he used 'Let Go,' a former Frou Frou song, in his break-out film 'Garden State,' so she thought she might return the favor. "I wrote the song 'Wait It Out' for this Zach Braff film called 'Open Hearts,'" she tells Spinner. "I read the script on the way to Hawaii to write songs for 'Ellipse' and I loved it. I wrote this song for him helping me get the first one started in 'Garden State' but the film 'Open Hearts' fell through. He wrote me an e-mail recently asking me to write songs in another film ['Swingles'] for the character played by Cameron Diaz but I haven't read the script yet." Heap is also very generous when it comes to lending her voice to charitable causes. She participated in the album 'Songs for Tibet: The Art of Peace,' an initiative to support the human rights effort in Tibet. Her latest pet project is a dream charity event that involves her fans and what they believe in. "I have this grand plan for the next tour I do in April, which is to go to each city and create some kind of platform for people to enter information on this computer screen at the venue on how they want me to improvise a song," she says. "I have to improvise a song on the theme of what they want." Once the song is written, she'll record it and put it on iTunes. "When people buy it the proceeds go to the charity that is particular to that city," she says.

His mother, Roxie Roker, starred on the 'Jeffersons,' his daughter Zoe Kravitz is an actress who appeared in 'No Reservations' among other films and he was once married to actress Lisa Bonet of 'The Cosby Show' fame. Now, in the two decades since he began his music career and became a rock star, Kravitz is finally on the silver screen. The rocker can currently be seen briefly in the hit indie film 'Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire.' But the next time he and 'Precious' director Lee Daniels work together, Kravitz will be the star. "I saw him this morning, we had breakfast together, and we're not sure exactly what we're doing. There are two or three options. But yes, I'm going to be doing a film and this time I'm going to be in the lead position," Kravitz tells Spinner. "It's going to be a lot of responsibility and a lot of time -- it's very exciting."

Filed under: News, New Music It looks like the 'New Moon' soundtrack isn't the only compilation getting a little help from Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard this fall. According to Sound on the Sound, Gibbard has reportedly signed on to contribute a version of Neil Young's 'Harvest Moon,' a song he covered played live from time to time, to the 'GIVE Seattle' charity album. The project features Seattle-based artists and benefits the Arts Corp and numerous food banks. Although Gibbard's song isn't on the actual disc -- it's one of six extra tracks that will be e-mailed to buyers at a future date -- the physical CD boasts over 30 indie acts including Fleet Foxes, Grand Archives, Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band and Visqueen.
