During NaVloPoMo, (The National Vlog Posting Month), participating videobloggers attempt to post a new video every single day of the month! Filming, capturing, conforming, editing, exporting, compressing, and uploading ... whatever it takes ... each and every day of the month. The objective is to shift our attention from high production value to high quality organic communication, to throw off the constraint of making things "perfect" and to see what happens! Saying Goodbye

Saying Goodbye

November is a weird month for me. I get very reflective, and like the other day when I got to thinking about my wife's brain tumor. This week I have been thinking alot about my maternal grandpa. I miss my grandpa......he died over 18 years ago but I still think about him a lot. We used to go fishing when I was a little kid, early morning before the sun even came up. They are some of my most cherished memories that I have. He wasn't just a grandpa to me.......Today was the first time I had went to his grave. He died when I was in the service over in Germany. I had actually been home a month prior and got to see him before he passed. If I loved him so much why did it take me so long to visit? .......I didn't want to have to say goodbye. I guess I thought that maybe by not going, that it wouldn't be real.....I know it's stupid....it's just how I felt. It's hard to sum up a person's life in a few minutes or even a few paragraphs. And talking about stuff like this is hard for me. I just wish you all could have met him......he was a great grandpa........

Open reply to Josh at Tilzy.tv about NaVloPoMo

Hi to everybody who's stumbled here from Blip or Mefeedia homepages (or wherever) wanting to know about NaVloPoMo.NaVloPoMo is (Inter)National Videoblog Posting Month - a lot of video bloggers and artists making and posting films every day in November. The site is at http://nablopomo.ning.com/group/videobloggers - you can see people's films there, and also find a list of their blog URLS and feeds.Twittervlog.tv is my video blog, which I shoot, cut and post, all with my Nokia N93 cellphone. You can watch more or subscribe at the site. This is a reply to an email I got from Josh Cohen at Tilzy.tv asking about NaVloPoMo. I just riffed on his questions. Whatever I've missed, or whatever you think about it and about personal videoblogging, reply in the comments or on a video or however you like. - How'd you come up with the idea? And how'd you initially share it with the community? Did it take long to catch on? - About how many vlogs would you say there are involved? (I think there's a list on the Ning site, but was wondering if that was extensive) - Why do you participate? What type of people should participate? Is it for anyone? - What's the best part about it? - How do your videos for NaVloPoMo differ than your regular fare?

Beach Walk #524 - Hawaii is Flooding

Beach Walk #524 - Hawaii is Flooding

from lindenmoe on November 05, 2007
Duration: 219
Rain, rain, for a couple of days now, and it is still going strong as I type this. (As is the thunder and lightning. Winter, in one fell swoop!) I love the sound of it, we can use the water yet the sewer line overflowed so the beach is closed for swimming. We've got pics of how they move the sand around to try to prevent more flooding, and also how the beach is disappearing. Is it global warming? The water is definitely higher at Kailua Beach Park; I measure it by the boat ramp which presumably is not sinking.Hawaiian Word: Ua: rainPlease check out our Blogroll page with many more links.
