Mysterious Videos

Hi my name is Derek Crabbe. My screen name over at Bottalk is derekwc, hence the derekwc presents. I was mainly inspired by James Rolfe and his Monster Madness Cinemasscre Reviews (also the Godzilla ones are pretty fun too!). I wanted to focus mainly on comic books adapted into tv shows and films. Kind of short synopsis and review with some historical perspectives and tangents thrown in for fun. There is a vast amount of material to cover and I probably won't have access to all of it, but I thought I'd go ahead and give it a shot. I probably won't have a part up every day and they might not all be in order (but I'll try my best). Note: I'm trying to limit my focus to comic books, maybe I'll go back and do comic strips or manga some other day. Hope you enjoy!

More than a dozen swimmers from two high schools got sick during a statewide swim meet. One high school principal says as many as 200 students from the 20 high schools that competed ended up sick. Health departments from two counties aren't sure how they became ill.

The main theme of this piece is entirely my own, although it obviously draws some inspiration from Nintendo-style watery, peaceful music such as Aquatic Ambience (DK Country) and Underwater Exploration (Super Mario Sunshine) but ultimately it also has to reflect above-land travel, like Jolly Roger Bay (Super Mario 64) and Space Junk Galaxy (Super Mario Galaxy), with a general frostiness much like this galaxy's sister galaxy, Freeflame Galaxy (SMG). Those with a good ear may hear a familiar theme from SMG/SMG2 at one or two points... Many thanks to jquijote999 for helping me out with the Japanese translation!
