Sophie was brutally attacked with her boyfriend, Robert Maltby while returning home walking through Stubby Lee Park in Bacup, Rossendale in Lancashire. The police suggested the attack was caused by the couple wearing goth style clothing. I live not too far from where that attack occured and I too dress in gothic clothing. It doesn't make me or anyone that dresses this way any less human! Just because we dress differently doesn't mean it hurts us or our loved ones any less to lose us! I never got to meet Sophie and it is a true shame, my deepest sympathies to Sophie's family. May she Rest in Peace.
