Es Dificil De La Ghetto "Lea detalles del Video" DIRECTOR'S CUT

Es Dificil De La Ghetto "Lea detalles del Video" DIRECTOR'S CUT

from Favorites of bullfighters on August 15, 2008
Duration: 298
Director/Producer/Editor: Daniel Hastings of AtomicusCreative.com For this video I basically wanted to build on the nostalgia of a break up. Weather is ones fault or the other, a breakup is always sad and most of the time painful. I wanted people to feel Visually what De La Ghetto felt when he wrote and produced this song. I think all my videos are big on emotions, whether Happy, Sad, Pride, Troubled thoughts, I zoom in on the song's message. To start, I wanted the look of the film to match the nostalgia of the melody. The look of the film was inspired by a video that a talented film maker named Ramon Bootviseth shot, who then I hired to be the DP of this video. This man shoots video the way I shoot my pictures, and we work so well together. Pat Stein my Co-Producer assembled a great team. He locked down a location so high up in NYC that pretty much isolated the empire state building in the background, WHAT A SHOT!!!! A photographers dream, Ramon and I took advantage of the magic hour. To make it even more picturesque, I wanted to also build on the love memories for this song in a real special place, so I went to the Mayors office in NYC and got permits to record in Coney Island, NY. An American treasure and historic place for over 100 years, which by the way next year will be demolished and redeveloped so I felt passionated about capturing the beautiful essence that real New Yorkers at one point or another have experience in Coney Island before it's gone :-(. And what is an urban video without a party scene, LOL. But me and De La Ghetto didn't want to do the same old, same old party scene. We wanted to continue the story of longing for his love. And he prove to me that the Kid can ACT!!! Watch out Hollywood for Rafael Castillo alias De La Ghetto. His interpretative silence and emotions were on point. Not too many artist specially rapers can act, but this kid nailed it. But then again De La is more than a rapper. Señor, my hat goes out to you. And last but not least, He couldn't do it without the great work of our muse, the graceful Laura Petersen, who was carefully selected out of hundreds of models/actresses.. Laura you rocked it. You gave De La Ghetto, the energy he needed to truly convey our concept. I want to thank my clients Fightklub Nation and Massacre Musical for believing in me and AtomicusCreative.com and hiring me to direct/produce this great video who has become one of my favorites. Thanks goes out to De La Ghetto and his musical Team Live Music, Kyser, Myrk, Dj Blass for such a great composition. I want to thank my entire crew for putting such long hours and great energy into this film production and below are their names in the list of credits, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU: director/editor/co-producer daniel hastings co-producer/1st AD: patrick(WB)stein 2nd a.d./Lighting Director: carlos Castillo D.P Ramon Boutviseth A.C.
