Movlog Videos

in case you haven t seen, or if you only get these videos via email or RSS, the last few days videos have been posted on 12seconds.tv rather than as individual posts on Twittervlog. you can see them in the little player at the top right of the Twittervlog site, or by clicking here to see them on my channel at 12seconds.tv no doubt more vlomo videos will be posted on 12seconds this month it s a manageable way to meet the challenge of posting every day, although I don t just post any old clips there. Even a 12 second moment can tell some kind of story and I try to get two or three different elements in each one. - Formats available: MPEG4 Video (.mp4) -

It's taken me a week to find the time to sort through the footage and cut it down to a watchable size - but here are 8 minutes of highlights from the 18 or so hours of non-stop filming we did on Day 1. We had some technical hitches with uploading, so I didn't post from the road as much as I'd wanted. @philcampbell, @vikkichowney and I were sent by Nokia 3600 for local causes. Plus we carried with us a free Nokia N86 for each Twestival we visited to raffle or auction. More to come - and I'll post some links to all the media that I and the others generated.

Twestivals are essentially meetups of Twitter users in scores of cities around the world, to raise money for local causes. Each city s cause was chosen by an online vote. Nokia sponsored our trip (as well as carbon offsetting our miles) by giving a Euro for every 5 miles we travelled. So in the end, we raised around €3600 for local causes. Plus we carried with us a free Nokia N86 for each Twestival we visited to raffle or auction. More to come and I ll post some links to all the media that I and the others generated. Hi to everybody who's stumbled here from Blip or Mefeedia homepages (or wherever) wanting to know about NaVloPoMo.NaVloPoMo is (Inter)National Videoblog Posting Month - a lot of video bloggers and artists making and posting films every day in November.The site is at http://nablopomo.ning.com/group/videobloggers - you can see people's films there, and also find a list of their blog URLS and feeds.Twittervlog.tv is my video blog, which I shoot, cut and post, all with my Nokia N93 cellphone. You can watch more or subscribe at the site. This is a reply to an email I got from Josh Cohen at Tilzy.tv asking about NaVloPoMo. I just riffed on his questions. Whatever I've missed, or whatever you think about it and about personal videoblogging, reply in the comments or on a video or however you like. - How'd you come up with the idea? And how'd you initially share it with the community? Did it take long to catch on? - About how many vlogs would you say there are involved? (I think there's a list on the Ning site, but was wondering if that was extensive) - Why do you participate? What type of people should participate? Is it for anyone? - What's the best part about it? - How do your videos for NaVloPoMo differ than your regular fare?

Have to ask again when it became uncool to befriend those who befriend you? As with anything, friendship can be taken too far, especially if it comes from greed. Part of Road Node's trip west to Vloggercon was underwritten by Markus Sandy who not only provided a roof and bed, but helped to buy food and art supplies. More than that, he suggested calling the residence 'Road Node 101 House', which got the name out there and lent a generosity to the enterprise I'd not have been able to imagine without support, fiscal and otherwise.
