He has been the recipient of several awards, including the Distinguished Professional Service Award of the District of Columbia Psychological Association. The camera moved a bit twice during the morning shots since the sun was literally burning my camera so i used the curtain to cover it thus moving it. It is a Lie: Gas Prices are not Increasing by Pastor Peter J. Peters There are many lies presented to us as people and many, if not most, of those people believe. The one we advertise in an Another Untold Story broadcast is the lie that gas prices are increasing and that the cost of a gallon of gas has increased. Tied to their lie is the lie that there is a fuel shortage. I have a question for you. Could you be one of those that God wants to believe a lie? Many lies are believed in the present age we live in, the last days that the apostle Paul wrote about. This is what he wrote but we emphasize the part about deception. But realize this, that in the last days difficult time will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; and avoid such men as these. For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed own with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. And just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected as regards the faith. But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, as also that of those two came to be. But you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance, persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord delivered me! And indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. Have you ever known anyone who was deceived that knew he or she was deceived? Of course, not! If one knew one was deceived, then you would not be deceived [as to what to do about that, we'll talk more later in the broadcast]. Now to the deception that gas prices have been, and are going up, and the deception that there is a gas shortage. I just happened to notice the other day, in town, the building of a new gas station. If there is a gas shortage why are they building another gas station? The truth is, it is not the price of gas going up but the value of the money going down. The truth is the cost of a gallon of gasoline has remained constant over the past fifty years. Fifty years ago you could buy four gallons of gas for a dollar and you still can today. Today a silver dollar is valued at about seventeen Federal Reserve notes and seventeen Federal Reserve notes will buy about four gallons of gas. Thus if you have a silver dollar it will buy four gallons of gas. Fifty years ago a silver dollar would buy four gallons of gas or a dollar bill (which was then a silver certificate) would buy four gallons of gas. What we call a dollar bill today will not, because we have had robbed from us its purchasing power. The robbers doesn t want you to know of the robbery so they have sold you the lie that there is a gas shortage and the lie that gas prices are increasing. Now all this has a spiritual, scriptural significance that Jews understand. Understand that those who are lying to you are good at it for they are of their father the devil. You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature; for he is a liar, and that father of lies. - John 8:44-45 Understand their job on earth is to lie, steal, kill, and destroy. The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly. - John 10:10-11 And understand this, the God of the Bible is using them to lie to you and steal from you in order to have His will carried out on the earth. You see, it is actually God s will for you to believe a lie - if! It is actually God s will for you to be stolen from - if? If you don t want to be lied to and caught up and deceived by lies, then you need to know the if . If you don t want to be stolen from then you need to know the if . God s word, the Bible, makes it very clear that if His people will not receive a love of the truth. He would send them a deluding influence. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: -2 Thessalonians 2:10-11 (KJV) Jesus Christ, His son, is the truth. Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. - John 14:5-7 (NASB) If the people are not going to love Him, believe Him, hang on and obey His every word, they do not receive a love of the truth, and thus will be sent by God a deluding influence and made to believe a lie. By the way, the lies they believe are everywhere in their lives. They believe public schools are there to give their children an education, yet Johnny can t read or do math after twelve years of it. They think donating money to cancer research is to stop cancer, when it is really to stop cancer cures. They think churches are for truth and against sin, yet we have more churches than ever and less truth and more sin than ever. They think the government really is fighting a war on crime and poverty etc. As for the robbery it has left in the peoples minds that once upon a time their money had so much purchasing power their dads and/or granddads could buy a small three bedroom home with a yard, raise four children, and keep the mother at home on a salary of $0.65 per hour working fifty hours per week. The value of the money has been taken and taken in such a deceptive way no one notices. No one even asks what happened to all the gold and silver that was once in their society. Someone got it! It didn t go out of existence. Now, the spiritual significance of this is God s will for His people if His people are not going to follow His law. The LORD will smite you with madness and with blindness and with bewilderment of heart; and you shall grope at noon, as the blind man gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways; but you shall only be oppressed and robbed continually, with none to save you. - Deuteronomy 28:28-30 (NASB) By the way, the whole nation has been robbing God of His tithe so is it any wonder the people are now being robbed? Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, How have we robbed Thee? In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you!
