(Laughs)...."Haggins dreams back to the days of long ago when 'G.e." played the Wilson Park concerts in Torrance or up in Los Angeles with multi-band 'punk rock shows' with bands like Concrete shoes and F.Y.P. "i just remember that ge had this thing where we stripped down and took off all our clothes on stage,..me and Ted tried to replicate that in our videos with Palle but it just wasn't the same (Laughs),....alot of people back in the South Bay used to pick on me and or just ignore me so i felt that nakedness was very 'free-ing' (Laughs) - we were getting naked long before Nirvana, Green day, and blink 182 (Laughs)...." i remember that Flipper was a guy who showed up to gigs in like these striped soccer shirts - it looked alot like Ben Stiller in 'theres something about mary" (Laughs)" People later would say that Phil looked like one of the menendez brothers but with a guitar,....and ofcourse the storys is true that Ted once played a concert on one of his 'lunch-breaks' from Raes hardware Store on Avenue i in Redondo !!,...but flipper played the best leads in the South bay and he exploded with like the most wicked sick wrythm that was really murky but powerfully distorted - it sounded like Pete Townshend on crack when he cranked up that wah wah peddle and thundered his amps,....HE STARTED GRUNGE - AND HE 'SAID IT' HE EXEMPLIFIED IT !! WE WERE THE REAL DEAL - A POWERFUL THREE PIECE ,...we were way into Cream !! the gig we played at Wilson park in june of 1990 was ridiculous,....we were trully insane,..."Haggins says this is all not bad for a kid that used to 'eat dogshit' ; yeah,..when i was a kid,..i acted like a dog,...i barked like a dog,...and i peed on trashcans like a dog,....and i spoke fluent spanish virtually only til i was five,...english was like a second language to me ! then my kindergarten teacher Mrs. Hoffman informed me that i really should be speaking English and i remember i was a little confused ,..partially because about five other kids in there spoke spanish too - i was raised by this mexican fanily down in Lomita,....Today, the Greenhouse Effect are internet rock's biggest hit-makers with 'Brandy', it ain't easy and THE WHITE BLACK THANG,....So what does the 'Earth's houseband" seen millions of times a day and often downloaded more than Coldplay think of today's bands and scene,...? "it sucks" says hagins "i think u2 is lame and i think all Green day songs just sound the same,..theres alot of fucking boring shit,..look man,..i'm 44 years old,..i've been around,..i threw all the Wilson Park gigs and i've seen great bands like PROP 13 upclose in the front row !! i've seen Tom Shannan and Death & taxe$,....i 'know' what great music is ,...'Mr. Southbay' says he doesn't mind when someone from back in Los Angeles comes on his Myspace or Youtube and tries to re-inforce that 'ge sucks' ,.."it doesn't matter to me,..i've seen this shit with Bam Magazine,..i've seen them come and go,..i have super google, zeus, and email technology,..millions watch me,..my band just has the best songs around,..and people are stunned,..sure,..theres gonna be haters yo !! "Look,..when ya got a song like Brandy that is HUGE EVEERYWHERE - YER GONNA GET SOME FLACK from the ol' punk or blues scene up north in the South Bay,...one hell of alot of people have accused me of writing 'the' faggoty Morrisey song,....but i like Morrisey - SO THERE !!"We were kinda ugly guys in g.e. ,..we took alot of abuse,...but we were heterosexual" says HagginsHaggins says that lately, traffic is down on the internet for ge ,..a band that once argued with Tila Tequila on Myspace over Prop 8 "I was for it" says Higgins "now we struggle to get that old web hit vibe that we had in 2008 because of things like octomom - the lady with 8 kids n all,..that kinda shit and porn gets in our way (Laughs)"
