She speaks and gives workshops on conscious aging, body wisdom, caregiving, improvisational movement and creative living. Samples is also the author of six other books and has written widely on health, aging and human behavior. She is a past editor of The Phoenix, a wellness monthly. Tina Chunna Zhang has experienced Chinese martial arts and dance since her childhood in Beijing, China and moved to the U.S. in the 1980âs. She has studied and trained with the most skillful and respected internal martial arts masters in China. She is a disciple of Master Li Bing Ci, the president of Beijing Northern Wu Style Tai Ji Quan research center and a disciple of Classical Cheng Style Ba Gua Zhang Master Liu Jing Ru of Beijing. She twice won gold medals in womenâs sparring in Chinese Martial arts tournaments. She is a highly nationally ranked medalist in both Tai Ji Quan and Ba Gua Zhang in forms, weapons, and push hands. She was the U.S. National Champion in Womenâs Wu Style Tai Ji Quan in 2005. She is the co-author of Classical Northern Wu Style Tai Ji Quan, and The Whirling Circles of Ba Gua Zhang, and the founder of Earth Energy Qi Gong for Women. Serving as a cultural bridge between the East and West, and as a professional tai ji quan instructor and personal trainer, Tina Zhang has helped many people achieve their physical and emotional health and fitness goals through her training methods. Deborah Harper, President of Psychjourney interviews Dr. Richard Restak, MD, author of The Naked Brain: How the Emerging Neurosociety is Changing How We Live, Work, and Love published by Harmony. Dr. Restak is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine. Post Graduate training included a rotating internship at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York, psychiatric residencies at Mount Sinai Hospital and Georgetown University Hospital and a residency in neurology at George Washingon Hospital in Washington D.C. Concurrently, he is Clinical Professor of Neurology at George Washingon Hospital University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Restak has written over 18 books on the human brain, two of which were main selections of the Book Of The Month Club. He has penned dozens of articles for national newspapers including the Washington Post, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and USA Today. As a regular lecturer, both nationally and internationally, he has presented communtaries for both Morning Edition and All Things Considered on National Public Radio and has made numerous appearances on leading television talk shows.
