ANOTHER ROAD HOME is the deeply moving story of Israeli filmmaker, Danae Elon's quest to find Musa Obeidallah, the Palestinian man who helped raise her from the time she was a baby until she joined the Israeli army. Elon's emotional and physical journey takes her from her current home in New York to an Arab-American neighborhood in New Jersey, and finally to the West Bank and Jerusalem. This evocative documentary by the daughter of the famous Israeli author, Amos Elon, reaches out with unsentimental acuity seasoned by deep affection, to all who believe in the power of family, trust and friendship. PRESS REVIEWS AND REACTIONS: Forget Batman and the other superheroes of summer: The bravest, most self-sacrificing and morally acute leading man on screen this year is surely Musa, who at 76 has reared an astonishingly handsome and accomplished family, and who betrays no bitterness toward the obstacles put in his way...if ever there was a movie that should be seen by Palestinians and Jews together, it's "Another Road Home," a deeply personal portrait of how politics have informed -- and often deformed -- the purest human relationships. "Another Road Home" ...vividly conveys life in both the Palestinian and Jewish diaspora...is full of heart-rending moments, in which people of good faith search for answers......transcends politics to become a film about finding hope in shared humanity. --Ann Hornaday, The Washington Post Touching, painful and powerfully affecting, Another Road Home is an amazing achievement of personal filmmaking...The reconciliation between Danae, Nasser and his brothers has a subtle complexity that the writers of most scripted dramas can only dream about as the conversations are loaded with all of the raw emotion...the filmmaker is going through, laid bare for the audience to experience as well...If governments and politicians could deal with one another with a fraction of the compassion that the Elon and Obeidallah families do, the world would obviously be a better place. --Kevin Crust, Los Angeles Times ...Fascinating...Moving and ultimately hopeful, Another Road Home makes no effort to soften or simplify its prickly themes... --Jeannette Catsoulis, New York Times (Four stars)...It's unlikely there will ever be a more moving portrait of the shared selfhood, usually veiled by politics, common to Palestinians and Israelis... --David Sterritt, Christian Science Monitor ...extraordinary documentary with uncommon delicacy and courage by filmmaker Danae Elon. In its unobtrusive way, this marvelously conciliatory film teaches a lesson that all parties to the Middle East conflict would be wise to take to heart — that even with the truces and treaties and fresh political starts, in the end it will only be warm bodies like Musa and Danae who can show their feuding countrymen another road home. --Ella Taylor, LA Weekly ...Another Road Home is as modest in demeanor as its filmmaker but also as steadfast. It confronts hard facts willingly, but it does so with warmth and respect for each of its characters. There is something deeply nourishing about this picture and not just because the Obeidallah and Elon families are either preparing or consuming food in practically every scene. Another Road Home satisfies because it goes beyond advocating change; it is itself the record of change. --Stuart Klawans, The Nation Author: AnotherRoadHomeGQE Keywords: Another Road Home Peace MiddleEast Mid-EastConflict Jews Palestinians Israeli Arab Jewish Muslim Israel Added: July 20, 2008
Scooter From Yale To Jail, Hamas: New Gaza Gansters And Immigration Bill A Brick In Road To FailureScooter From Yale To Jail, Hamas: New Gaza Gansters And Immigration Bill A Brick In Road To Failure

Scooter Libby?s packing his duffle bag with snacks cigarettes and plenty of KY Jelly to help ease the pain of his inevitable trip to the slammer save for a last minute pardon from the president. Said pardon seems unlikely since the White House appears to be as close to Scooter as a box of condoms in a nunnery these days. Leaving the Scooter hanging high and dry, his last ditch effort to prevent his lockup by some of the nations top shysters led by Alan Dershowitz himself was put down and chided by U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton for bringing the weak ass argument to him, that prosecutor Fitzgerald lacked the authority to bring a case against Libby in the first place. Booties up Scooter! In Other News: Hamas appears to be the Gaza Gangsters as they have gained and are maintaining control of the strip and surrounding areas. Promising not to jack captured leaders of the losing Fatah crew, they have allowed some looting by the lawless prior to a shallow calm that has taken root if only for the moment. Word is, the U.S. and Israel are trying to determine what their next step should be as it?s no secret, Hamas can?t be allowed to savor this victory to long for it will only serve to embolden others.
Maybe Brits GPS Technology Purchased From Taiwan Caused To ProblemMaybe Brits GPS Technology Purchased From Taiwan Caused To Problem

Tony Blair and the Brits appear closer to an agreement with Iran over the fifteen captured sailors as they are currently working out a way to blame their flawed GPS readings on technology they purchased from China/Taiwan. The Iranians are holding to their story that their position monitoring devices were more reliable as their technology was provided by India. We guess from now on the Brits will look for the Union Label. The president has a win one lose one week thus far, as the Supreme Court ruled against the Gitmo detainees, rejecting an appeal by inmates there who are seeking access to federal courts to challenge their imprisonment as "enemy combatants." In the loss column, the Supreme Court ruled against the Bush administration yesterday for refusing to regulate greenhouse gas emissions, siding with environmentalists in the court's first examination of the phenomenon of global warming. We guess, this is just another one of those damn inconvenient truths.
