SAN FRANCISCO -- A helicopter crew from Air Station San Francisco medically evacuates a 48-year-old male crewmember from a tanker vessel Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, 25 miles off the coast of Pacifica, Calif. SAN DIEGO An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Sector San Diego safely transported a passenger from a cruise ship approximately 170 miles south of San Diego, Monday afternoon. HOUSTON - The Coast Guard medevaced a 43-year-old male from the motor vessel Sicily, 28 nautical miles southeast of Galveston, Wednesday afternoon. The Coast Guard launched an Air Station Houston MH-65 rescue helicopter crew to medevac the man. BERING SEA - A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew hoisted Holden Jonan-Serrano, an El Salvadorian citizen, after he reportedly sustained an injury to his right eye when he collided with a pipe while working aboard the Dutch Harbor-based 124-foot fishing vessel Clipper Surprise more than 50 miles north of Dutch Harbor Monday. Jonan-Serrano was transported to Cold Bay in stable condition, where a commercial medevac jet further transported him to Anchorage. U.S. Coast Guard video by Air Station Kodiak. MOBILE, Ala. -- The Coast Guard rescued a man who injured his leg on board a fishing vessel 2 miles north of Horn Island, Nov. 3, 2009. ASTORIA, Ore. The Coast Guard medically evacuated a crewmember from a U.S. Navy submarine off the coast of Wash., Tuesday. The Navy contacted the Coast Guard at 5:50 p.m. to request assistance in transferring a crewmember to a hospital from a submarine. Coast Guard Air Station Astoria, Ore., launched an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew to assist. The rescue helicopter arrived on scene at 7:12 p.m. and hoisted the crewmember by basket from the sail of the submarine.
