MCT - Jack Frost
from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) July 18, 2008
Hello Krypt-kats! Butch & the family are on their last week of mandatory mental relaxation....and you still can't blame them. In their absence they've left a shockingly old Retro-Cleaver Moment from nearly 6 years ago...it's a skit from their first season involving garbage cans and stuffed animals and actors being abused. We're also bringing you a chilling trailer for the remarkably campy film "Jack Frost"...a killer snow pile/man....ironically one of the most original things to come out of Hollywood in the last few decades (brace for a remake...you know it will come sooner or later). We'll be back next Saturday fo shizzle....(as the hideous normals say...)

MCT - Rollerball
from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) July 02, 2008
Are you feeling like a small cog in a massive corporate machine? Feel like that college degree hanging on your wall collects more dust than accolades? Is the man keeping you down? Then tonight's film should be right up your alley! It's "Rollerball" the original James Caan classic (not that abysmal remake)...a world where corporations own the world and the violent spectacle of Rollerball is displayed to keep the pliant citizens even more doughy and dull. It also stars the taste-tacular Pamela Hensley...whom some of you nerdier fellows might remember as Princess Ardala from Buck Rogers in the 25th Century..... I'll be her "Tiger Man any day! And speaking of "balls" we even have a cool old commercial for Whammo super balls and carcinogenic plasti-goo. Roll on!

Well hello gang and wecome to your mid-week fix of Meet Cleaver Theatre - Sub-atomic! Tonight we're looking back at a little piece of cult animation that sorta got lost in the maelstrom of 70s/80s rock operas... it's called Rock & Rule and features a bunch of strange looking creatures in a post apocalyptic world rocking out and summoning demons and such. It also features music by Debbie Harry (aka Blondie), Cheap Trick, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed and others. We've also thrown in an old KISS commercial to help pull you through the rest of the work week. Carry on my wayward sons...it'll be the weekend soon.

MCT - The Embalmer +
from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) June 11, 2008
Tonight we're venturing back to our favorite boot-shaped country and taking a look at a very early Giallo film known as both "The Monster of Venice" and "The Embalmer". Basic premise is a psycho living in the canals and sewers below Venice is offing lovely young Italian lasses and embalming them to "preserve their beauty for all time". The trailer has a double feature attached to it..."The She Beast" so you get a little of that action as well. And speaking "little" and action packed....make sure to stick around for our lovely PSA about inappropriate touch..... This weekend is the local Thrilsville 48 hour film festival.....so Butch & gang will be busy creating "art" *wink wink* Rest assured we'll still be bringing you an action-packed schlock-classic ...because we're just that good at multi-tasking. CHEERS!

The trailer leads to a disagreement between Butch and Puppet Fan Boy regarding Tarantino being unoriginal...those darn fan boys. You decide my psychotronic family and enjoy an obscure trailer on us...here are Meet Cleaver Theatre: Sub Atomic!

Tonight trailer/commercial combo features Hammer films mis-step into the anti-hero cop genre of the 70s...a little piece of obscure tripe we like to call: "SHATTER"....it's not really a name, but a way of life....who loves ya baby? We also jump back 74 with a retro-mmercial high on the weirdness quotient: Savage toiletries for men.... cave girl babes molesting a Polynesian or some such lunacy. Butch & friends will return next week...till then, enjoy the flashback and have a retro-licious weekend!
