Some 80 million Greenhouse Effect Songs have been either viewed or downloaded as of March 2008. After the initial success of "White / Black", the band began to experiment more with videos for other songs at their Youtube sites. Note here; In early to mid 2008, an entire Greenhouse Effect Youtube profile that had built up a staggering near one million views was mysteriously (or accidentally) deleted ! And with it, taking the version of 1988's "The Magic Man" that had accumiliated some 45,000 Views. A version of 1992's "Brandy" had a staggering 200,000 plus Youtube views. Today, G.e. has two Youtube accounts only but with fairly good results still for newer accounts; "Irie Bob" has amassed a respectable 16,000 Views in just over four months. 2006 was also a banner year for G.e. at their Myspace as they began to build a strong following, at one time netting some 21,000 friends. Today in June 2008, G.e. is one of cyberspace's most watched and downloaded artists and their Myspace profile briefly blasted into the all time top 100 bands for several summer months. "Brandy" has become a certified internet hit with confirmed views at GoogleVideoCom of some 40 Million making Clark Higgins and Rick Carmody -also of South bay's One Handed Readers fame - two of Los Angeles' most known musicians.
