It's been awhile, but jig of the month is back! I have a very simple jig, but one that's worth it's weight in scraps.Sanding blocks are a key tool in the finishing process, and making one from your scraps is a great way to use up some of your scraps and get you a tool that you can't find in the store.

The first ever internet safety week is wrapping up, so here at Matt's Basement Workshop we're ending it with a discussion on protecting our eyes. Between sawdust, flying slivers and splashing finishes, our eyes can be injured in the shop so protecting them is extremely important.
