علمت الشروق ان الحافلة التي كانت تقل عناصر الفريق الوطني تعرضت لاعتداء من طرف أنصار الفريق المصري بالقرب من الفندق الذي يقيم به المنتخب الوطني أكدت مصادر الشروق أن الاعتداء تم تحت أنظار عناصر الأمن المصري التي لم تتحرك لصد الاعتداءات، وتعرضت الحافلة إلى وابل من الحجارة من كل الاتجاهات مما تسبب في تحطيم كلي لزجاجها. وقالت مصادر أن عددا من عناصر الفريق الوطني تعرض لإصابات من بينهم لموشية الذي خضع إلى ثلاث خرزات برأسه وكذا حليش وصايفي والحارس الثاني شاوشي، ويجهل إلى حد الآن درجة خطورة إصابة اللاعبين. وكانت الطائرة التي تقل عناصر الفريق الوطني قد حطت عصر اليوم بمطار القاهرة الدولي حيث كان في استقبالهم وفد جزائري يتكون من وزير الشباب والرياضة الهاشمي جيار والسيد عبد القادر حجار سفير الجزائر بالقاهرة والوفد الصحفي الجزائري المتواجد بمصر وتفاجأ الجميع بحضور مئات من أنصار الفريق المصري الى المطار حيث كانوا يرددون شعارات عنصرية وشتائم ضد الفريق الوطني وانقسم الأنصار المصريون الى قسمين، أحدهما كان في المطار لإنتظار الفريق والثاني كان أمام مدخل الفندق، واستغرب الجميع تساهل عناصر الأمن المصري مع هذه المجموعات التي سمح لها بالاقتراب من أمام الفندق وبمجرد توقف الحافلة انهال عليها .هؤلاء المتعصبون بالحجارة مرددين شعارات سنطردكم بالجزمة وقد كان أحد مراقبي الفيفا حاضرا حيث قام بتصوير الحادثة وتحرير التقرير إلى مسؤوليه المباشرين بسويسرا، كما يعقد الوفد الجزائري الرسمي اجتماعا طارئا لدراسة الموقف واتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة. وقد أثارت هذه الحادثة استنكار وتنديد كل الفئات والأطياف، ونحن في الشروق إذ نندد بهذه الاعتداءات فإننا ندعوا الجمهور الجزائري إلى التحلي بالصبر والهدوء وعدم الرد بالمثل على هؤلاء المتوحشين الذين لا يمثلون كرم الشعب المصري الشقيق وقدسية العلاقة بين البلدين. وتشير بعض المصادر من القاهرة أن الوفد الجزائر قد يتخذ قرارا بمغادرة مصر وعدم إجراء المقابلة.
