But one project has truly captured the heart of this Russian descendent - that's Pier 21. She helped transform this historic point of entry for immigrants to Canada from a rat-infested shed into a national museum.

Dr.Robert Fournier is a scientist who loves sharing his fascination of nature and the natural world. He is professor emeritus of marine science at Dalhousie University with a long and distinguished career inside and out of the classroom. His work now takes him from the Maritimes to the high arctic to South America.
