Hey! You shock us! Referencing Magritte, Alice in Wonderland and surrealism in general, the video follows a man as he competes against different realities of himself for a magic treasure chest. The Summerlad is an indie Canadian band from Calgary, Alberta. The formation at the time of the recording was: Garrett McClure, Arran Fisher, Dean Martin, Sean Grier, Liz Collins. City of Noise is originally a 40 minute, mostly instrumental, piece, composed for HPR in 2005 and released in 2007, along with this shorter single version, on Saved by Radio. The video, starring Trevor Campbell, has been directed and edited by Mitch Barany. Director of photography: Brad Rushing. Visual Effects Supervisors: Dan Dumouchel, Rob Rozycki. René Magritte (1898 1967), der Surrealist , hat in Brüssel die meiste Zeit seines Lebens verbracht, hier entstanden die Bilder, die ihm Weltruhm eintragen sollten. Die Königlichen Museen für Schöne Künste besitzen zwar die größte Magritte-Sammlung der Welt. Doch die Idee eines eigenen Hauses für das Werk des wohl berühmtesten Malers Belgiens konnte erst jetzt realisiert werden. Ein Prachtbau aus dem späten 18. Jahrhundert an exklusiver Stelle, im Schatten des Königspalastes, schien der angemessene Ort zu sein, die Arbeiten dieses Künstlers im rechten Licht zu präsentieren. Was hätte Magritte zu diesem Ort gesagt?
