http://www.scmp.com/ There is a new name in Formula 1. From March, Manor Motorsport takes the big step up from Formula 3. The lord of the manor? Yorkshireman John Booth. Booth calls last weekend's Macau Grand Prix "the best race in the world bar none", but it may have to share a place in his heart if he finds success next season. British billionaire Richard Branson is believed to have bought a 20 per cent stake in Manor F1, and there is talk the team will be known as Virgin F1 when it begins the 2010 Formula One World Championship. Already committed to the team is German driver Timo Glock. Rumours have it that Lucas Di Grassi is next to sign. As Booth says, the manufacturer's era is ending and the independents are coming back.
