The That Luang festival is conducted in the middle of November, and includes many religious rituals. The traditional cuisine in Laos is spicy, but also tasty. Glutinous rice dishes with meat, fish, chicken, or vegetables, are popular traditional dishes in Laos. The native people of Laos have a very friendly nature and are extremely hospitable to their guests. Tourists are given a warm welcome. A woman is not allowed to touch a Buddhist monk in this country.
