Airdrie narrows down all the products she has tried over the last three years and names the best of the best when it comes to shampoo and conditioner. Best Drug Store Brand In my opinion, the best drugstore brand of shampoo and conditioner is Clairol Herbal Essences Hello Hydration (blue bottle). This product works just as well as any high-priced shampoo/conditioner system I ve ever used. The price is low, and this product can also be found in larger bulk sizing at stores like Costco. The coconut milk/orchid scent is dreamy, and leaves hair smelling fabulous all day. It also comes in a 2-in-1 formula, but I have not tried it. 2. Best Salon Brand Mid Priced My favourite mid-priced salon brand is A|G. This award-winning local Vancouver company sells its products all over North America (salon locator). I have tried many of their products, but my favourite is called Sterling Silver Toning Shampoo and Conditioner. This blue shampoo and conditioner have a cobalt blue colour to them which acts to cancel out the brassy yellow that can arise in highlights and gray hair. Use this product on blonde, highlighted, or silver hair only. It leaves my hair feeling clean, soft, and gives a little bit of added volume without leaving a volumizing residue. Don t have blonde hair or highlights? A|G has many other lines to cater to all hair-care needs. They also have excellent finishing products. 3. Best Salon Brand High Priced My favourite high-priced salon brand is PureOlogy Super Smooth System (copper bottle). This high-priced shampoo goes a long way as you only need a dime-sized amount to make a thick rich foaming head of product. The conditioner does not go as far as the shampoo does, which is my only complaint. The scents of Geranium and Camellia Oil make this my favourite PureOlogy product. Reality check: this stuff is EXPENSIVE and to be honest I could not afford to buy it year-round. It is nice for a treat. Look for bundle packs as they are priced lower than individual bottles. Reality Check Many women are turning to aestheticians and laser clinics to help them with acne and unwanted body hair. But could there be an underlying medical condition that is causing these side-effects? Polycyctic Ovarian Syndrome affects 5% of women and is the major cause of infertility. Symptoms include facial hair and acne. Treatments are available. Consider seeing your doctor before you spend hundreds of dollars at the spa trying to deal with acne or facial hair. This is a redo of the lipgloss video I made last year. The first version had poor explanation. I was not happy with the older video so I redid it. This trick will show you how to get every last drop of your lipgloss. Every gloss lover should know this trick. People are asking about bacteria, but I've been doing this for years and never saw a problem with it. It's like leaving your lipgloss in the hot car. Make sure the water is not too hot, or else it will warp your lipgloss tubes. If you want to use it for mascara, I would not recommend it (just buy a new tube), but if you must, add a few drops of olive oil in the mascara to get the texture smooth and not so dry again. This also works for Urban Decay Potion Primer. Just put it all in a little container like I did to that lipgloss. This will also work on nail polish, just make sure to add a few drops of nail polish thinner! Remember, only remove the rubber stopper and dump the lipgloss in a container when your wand cannot reach the leftover gloss. That way you can use every last drop of your lipgloss. If it's still half full, DO NOT remove the rubber stopper and just use it as is.
