This is just a quick little look into the tools to make fonts in Linux. The programs used are: GIMP : I use this to scan (via xsane) the hand drawn font in to the computer and clean up the image. Inkscape : The best solution is to start with a 1000x1000 blank page, drop in the copied letter from GIMP and trace it. Once it's traced you can do more touch ups. FontForge : You can import each letters SVG file into the letter editor. FontForge has all the tools for the most popular font formats. I usually just make TTF or "True Type Fonts" because everyone can use them. As of this video post the font is not finished but it should be available at http://code.google.com/p/opencomicfont/ ! Nos acercamos a el Palacio de la Legislatura Porte a en donde se explico como afectan las tecnolog as en la administraci n publica, y por supuesto la necesidad de contar con software libre en la misma. Los disertantes fueron; Federico Heinz, (Presidente de la Fundaci n Via Libre) Gonzalo Dieguez, (Licenciado de Ciencias Pol ticas de la UBA y Maestrando en Administraci n y Pol ticas Publicas de la Universidad de San Andr s) Roman Gelbort, (Presidente de la Asociaci n Civil Gleducar) y por ultimo la Ingeniera Maria P a Zelayeta (Subsecretaria de la secretaria General de la Municipalidad de Rosario). En todas las charlas adem s de explicar la necesidad de utilizar software libre se explico el caso puntual implementado en la Municipalidad de Rosario Pcia de Santa Fe Argentina. Todas las charlas tuvieron una duraci n aproximada de 2:00 con lo cual por razones obvias no pudimos ingresar en un programa de Infosertec.TV y por lo tanto optamos por la charla de Federico Heinz quien explico de forma mas que puntual la necesidad de utilizar software libre para una total transparencia en el estado. Luego Roman Gelbort, realizo una excelente explicaci n de la situaci n actual en Educaci n en nuestro pa s y como deber a ser un mundo ideal sobre el mismo, tambi n realizo una magnifica explicaci n de como se venden tecnolog as de software privativas a las escuela tratando de que las mismas sean utilizadas como una necesidad lo cual no es verdad.
