All My Children star Leven Rambin is apparently still dating thin-skinned Men's Vogue writer Hud Morgan, reports to the contrary notwithstanding. And Hud is still trying to threaten anyone who raises questions about his relationship with the 17 year old starlet, albeit in the manner of a fruitini-drinking water polo ogler. His latest stunt was a middle-of-the-night call to dandy magazine designer Gregory Littley, who runs in the same circles as Rambin and apparently aired some healthy "skepticism" about her relationship with older man Morgan. Morgan suggested that Littley air his grievances face to face and came off sounding like he meant that as some kind of threat, albeit a barely credible one. Of course the whole call ended up on the internet, courtesy of Littley friend Emily Brill, the bloggy socialite. But maybe that was the idea. Morgan made the call from Rambin's phone and was sure to say so in his voice mail, thus helping spread the word that, no matter who else Rambin may or may not have recently made out with, she still belongs to Morgan. We walked out of a restaurant and saw that there had been an accident just moments before right out front. One car had knocked over a sign pole, which our friend Kat's bike was chained too. I was on the train from Providence to NYC after visiting Eric. I sat next to a Parson's girl named Carolyn (spelling?). She let me look through her iPod and I tried to persuade her to do lip dubbing with me, but she sternly refused, even when I said "come on, it'll be fun!" I was pretty obsessed with Crash Test Dummies in high school, so I was overjoyed when I found God Shuffled His Feet on there (she also had A Worm's Life). As a challenge, I didn't review the song; I just hit play and went for it. I think I did pretty well, despite a couple of flubs. This was a lot of work because Premiere and After Effects both have trouble importing files from my SD300 digital camera. A lot of video is the result of extreme patience. Anyway, the camera has a "fast frame rate" mode which shoots 60 frames per second, so all you do is slow the video down to 50% speed and you've got high quality slow motion. While we were in the park hooping, some MTV cameraguys shot us for Making The Band and had us sign release forms. Apparently we're going to be part of some "look at all the stuff that happens in NYC!" B-roll footage.
