198,734 Views - In the everyday World of listening to music in your car stereo or walking into your neighborhood 7-11 or Mighty Mart, You are likely, in passing, to hear more than enough of Coldplay or Foo Fighters. Beyonce or Hip Hop Rap music. Eminem or My Chemical Romance. But in the World of cyberspace, You are likely to hear - and fall in Love with just One band. You have entered the domain of the Greenhouse Effect and Clark Hagins. No, we're not talking about Global Warming or the depleting Ozone and a hole growing. We're talking about the biggest band on the internet. From countries near and far, they watch their G.e. indeed !! G.e. rules the web baby !! "We're very interesting" says Clark Hagins "We look normal,....theres no tattoos. People are in Shock...Plus the songs are good" Hagins continues "We're a musical revolution... We have the best music that there is anywhere on Earth, ...We have strong Songwriting,..and we have "Brandy" says Hagins. Brandy is ofcourse the song that has launched G.e. to international notoriety as it casually builds the web's biggest song video plays around, day in and day out making Hagins a known internet web fixture along with funny looking red haired bassist Rick Carmody and other kooky characters in the band such as one time drummer, Denmark's Palle Karlson. And Top Radio Airplay at Jango and Pandora FM cement G.e. as a cyberspace Door nail one cannot deny. - "We're hillarious to look at,..we bring back memories,..to people around the South Bay and beyond... , we are THE connection to the past,..as a child, I was always obsessed with the 60's and the Beatles,....I always wanted to go back in time,..where I could go to a Yardbirds show" says Hagins. A band that was formed in 1985 by G.e. axeman guitarist Phil Keegan (Dr. Phil) has become a source of debate among fans around the world as well as today with band members of G.e. themselves... "Me and Flipper have argued over who was doing "Grunge rock" first,..was it my demos from 1985 or was it G.e. from 1987 ??" (Laughs) says Hagins "Clearly, the world sees today now,..that it was G.e. - and not any band from Seattle - that was doing the flannel rock 'Grunge' stuff first,..plus sending their tapes too SST,...thats critical" says Hagins "Me and Ted wore Flannels because of the Minutemen and SST Records bands like that,..plus Ted's house was always extremely cold and messy,...Redondo Beach could be very cold at night in the wintertime,..we wore Flannels to mass at St. Lawrence Martyr church,..it was hip in 1988,..it was punk rock,..but when yer kinda a nerd or a loser,...thats just what you wore,..everybody in the South Bay wore them,...Rick Carmody practically perfected the flannel,..we didn't wanna look heavy metal,..our songs were sullen and sad,..we wanted (and succeeded) to form a whole new sound, look, and style,..we were originators,..and I informed ALL the major Labels as far back as 87','THEY' KNOW IT !!-...but nobody believed in it or took me or it seriously,.." says Hagins "When yer a stoner, alcoholic loser in the South Bay, you had a particular demeaner,..."Racers" and "Precarious" were our early statements,....we were inventors" "We're so watched and so popular,..it just tickles our egos" says Guitarist Phil Keegan "I never dreamed that THIS many people would know about my guitar" Clark Hagins began as drummer for the Jim Mellon Quartet in Torrance / Redondo Beach Calif. nearly 30 years ago, playing shows around Hermosa and Redondo beach at places like the Hermosa Saloon, Pier 52, and the Pitcher House as well as where-ever the bands could find a gig. "It was important" says Hagins "It helped me grow as a musician because the crowd was so close at the tiny Saloon,...it sometimes made audience participation almost mandatory,...people would come out of the crowd and join the band and play,.." "There were some great gigs there where I played with many bands,..that were historic,..so many were never filmed unfortunately,...those were great times,...those tight, close in crowds at the Saloon,...they readied me to get the confidence to rock the world on the web,..the applause I remember assures me that I could rock,..I was always in demand to either drum or play guitar with like 8 different bands,...its great memories,...it readied me to rock the world" Hagins laments today's depressingly bad rock scene of the FM radio that he sees as Tired and out of ideas where what few alternative radios are left are constantly still playing their same old plate of worn out Foo Fighters and Green Day and Marilyn Manson records from the 1990's. "Radio needs to move on and find bands that are into the Yardbirds and early Zeppelin,..the emo and Coldplay thing has grown super mega boring now,...today's MTV and Radio sucks,...they still play old Nirvana records over and over like as if they are still around,..either that or they blast endless repetitious Hip hop and rap that sucks,....these bands suck,...they are tired and old,...we badly need something new now" says Hagins " I just think that all these KROQ type radio stations suck - they all sound the same ,...very boring,....and people are sick of it now,...the ratings are way down,...they should be playing bands like G.e. - or atleast carve out a special hour for today's metal bands who don't get any airplay like Bullet, Airbourne, and Dragonforce and the Darkness,...the grunge thing has gotten old,...its time to give 80's metal it's chance and it's time again on American radio because on the internet - and THATS where all it really matters now ,..those metal bands rule now,..and they are popular,..they demand and need airplay in America,..we need real metal radio stations again,..and I don't mean bands like Slipnot,..I am talking about 'real' cheeseball metal here,..it has to have long hair and be cheesey,..thats why i started Supernetcelebrities.Com ,..I wanna help metal come back naturally" HAGINS says that radio stations KROQ, 91 X, and 94.9 do not play fair as they 'only' force feed alternative rock and EMO out there daily,..and not diversifying and playing other styles "Its a Liberal democrat thang" says Hagins "these stations know that they can turn guys into dumb wimps if they hear nothing but emo all day and they can turn chicks into dumb ass fickle slut consumers who are stupid,...its all about money and liberalism,..thats why i don't even listen to the radios that much,..they are all unfair and left-wing,..I spend most of my time listening to talk radio,..I listen to Mark levin and the Michael Savage show,...I just think that people who listen to Rap, Hip hop, and R & B are dumb asses,..they are shallow MTV people,...they suck,...they would never defend us" Greenhouse Effect feel that music should and must be more technical, Psychedelic, and demanding "We made great music that was sorta like 'prog rock',..bands like Rush ,.." says Hagins

Greenhouse Effect's Clark Hagins is one of 2009 Alternative Rock's most unlikely success storys. "G.e." is seen internationally on over one million computers a day or more ! and the March 1992 Song 'Brandy" fuels the Ge engine thoroughly. "I have always said to people ,..it don't matter how old you are or what you look like just so long as you have hit songs that good - and we have them" Says Higgins.'Brandy' as well as "The White Black Song" and "It ain't easy" are all catchy G.e. diddies that cruise along more like the Monkees or the Beatles than they do like 'MY Chemical Romance" or Panic at the disco. "We have extreme melody" says Higgins "Thats the key,...we have a huge email list, tons of videos, and thousands of different video hosting sites that all seem to enjoy carrying G.e. songs the most, ...our band really 'works' on the internet - better than most bands,....and the grace of the internet will keep us "eternally young" forever,...we will always be net celebrities - even someday when i am a senior citizen in an old folks home,...I'll 'always' be G.e. (Laughs)" says Higgins. In the 'fixed environment' the lovable charm of G.e. is alot like that not unlike The Monkees and the Who and delightful British pop bands of the 1960's. Greenhouse Effect are tv clowns that ham it up and defy their geekey white suburban 'unintelligent' appearance. "We were a smart band" says Clark hagins "We always knew we would make the big time,..even 'if' it wasn't till we were 50 !! (Laughs)"...Greenhouse Effect songs roll along in the classic 60's early 70's sense sounding more like the Buffalo Springfield and David Bowie and the Guess Who ,...loaded with melody, tight hooks, and 'old school' classic rock flavor,..at times even varying into the territory of groups like Rush and Genesis with tracks like 1992's "The Ballad of Kurt Cobain"."All of our songs are great!" says Clark hagins "We put our songs out and we have top people working with us,..great people like Steve Hoovernton ,...and great technology for Google like the Zeus Marketing robot 1000 as sold by David Notistine. Using things like cbmall and klause41 links and great band promotion companys like Somanymp3s.com assures us that G.e. and BRANDY will always be at the tops of every major search engine,..we will always get great downloads at Googlevideo.com but ofcourse my goal is to make money at this,...with our various large email lists and our link urls to "i-tunes" ,..we hope to turn the cyberspace success at being seen ,..that is G.e. - we hope to turn this into GOLD !! AS IN PLATINUM RECORDS SOMEDAY SOON " says Higgins "Our goal is to sell over 2 million downloads at itunes and Napster,..we will achieve this" says Higgins "but its gonna take time,..."And there is no doubt, that the very catchy BRANDY could sell platinum records for Greenhouse Effect. "If we could just get that song into a movie or get some kind of financial help - but help that would pay our band fairly ,..we know then that we could have huge hit mp3's - even if we ARE 40 !! - We're internet legends and we're fun to look at,...we've put the community of Redondo Beach and the Hermosa Saloon Bar into the things of internet legend,...EVERYBODY around the world is curious about the South Bay now,...and its funny - because i don't even live there anymore,..i live in San Diego (Laughs)" says HagginsMore People watch the Greenhouse Effect daily than watch the Jonas Brothers,...and it isn't even close. "We are linked to EVERYTHING via the Zeus robot technology" says Higgins "if you surf practically any keyword,..theres a damn good chance yer gonna 'stumble upon" a g.e. video,...and if that video happens to be BRANDY,WHITE BLACK , or "It ain't easy",..yer gonna like what you hear" says Higgins "Thats how we build fans,...we have made HUGE inroads into England,..in the UK, THEY LOVE our music,..we are trying to improve our Australia and Scottland traffic and it is really growing - i think alot of them think that 'BRANDY' is from England (Laughs)" says HigginsHagins says he uses the "Tubemogul" multiple Video sending service to "Blast" song videos, as well as the popular www.Blast4traffic.com email sending service - a service that has quadrupled Higgins' music traffic in England. 'Brandy' is so heavily listened and downloaded in the UK, that in January 2009, there were more plays for G.e., than Coldplay !"I've discovered some new email blasting 'safelists (Spam-free)" says Clark Hagins "One of them claims they can blast your band and songs to up to two billion emails,...well, I want to assure that I have the biggest song in the world with 'Brandy",...emails and linking tools like 'Zeus' are key,....our goal now is to get some cash flowing (revenue stream) on itunes and especially NAPSTER ."I want to triple our Google web traffic with 'WHITE BLACK THANG',...In 2008, it was the biggest song on the planet,...now I want to 'cement it' as an internet classic ,...with itunes sales."The thrill of being in the top of Myspace charts and being recognized as a serious songwriter is not enough for Higgins. "I wanna be one of the best ever ,...alot of people back in the South Bay were trying to say I suck,...they come on my Youtubes like cowards and they dare to try to call me mediocre,....well, - HOW FUCKING DARE THEY !! ?,....'EVERYBODY' knows me now ,...fucking no one knows them - they're pathetic !! "

Myspace.com has been a strong tool that Greenhouse Effect use like a machine to spread their musical popularity in February 2009 as they have climbed into the top 100 "All time" of World 'alternative rock' bands, passing by many rock legends in the process."It just feels great" says Clark Hagins of the Greenhouse Effect "We love Myspace because their profiles look so professional and they put four or five or up to 8 songs out that fans can listen to,...Myspace has really helped Greenhouse Effect to achieve our musical dreams !"Two of Greenhouse Effect's most popular songs are listened and downloaded heavily directly from their Myspace; The Morrisey like classic "Brandy" which sounds almost as if the Cure jammed with David Bowie and the bizarrely Guns n Roses meets Bruce Springsteen like Mega-hit "WHITE BLACK THANG' A LEGENDARY song from Los Angeles that has turned the search engine world of Google and Yahoo literally upside down with nearly 150 Million song plays in 2007, 2008, and 2009,...Stragely enough,..these two songs both sound and feel nothing like each other and infact almost sound as if they come from two entirely different and seperate bands altogether ! "But they're from the same group, " says Clark Hagins "Me and Ted recorded them all,...though i can't remember if Ted is on Brandy,...he may have been absent that day and i might have had to play the bass on that track (Laughs)" says Higgins.Hagins says that he recommends that 'all' bands get on myspace and build a 'professional looking' myspace profile. "Myspace is very important,...the bottom line is a band has to have a great myspace profile and it has to load quickly" says HaginsGreenhouse Effect use large email lists with millions of recipients in over 200 Countries as fans eagerly download and buy their music at i-tunes,..."the world support we get from the fans means so much to me,...God bless them" says Clark Hagins "especially all the great people in the UK who help G.e. - we want to go over there to London and play a show for Britain because of all of their kind words and support,...the fans in Ireland too ,..are super important,....Hagins says it hasn't always been easy getting large support for his beloved G.e. ; "its been tough,...i was from a community back there in the South Bay where the people were raised on AYSO SOCCER and robotic shit,....Redondo beach and Torrance were very competitive communities but deep down,...they all know there that theres no one as good as me "Greenhouse Effect are seen world wide and heavily downloaded as 'the world house band' now for the Hermosa Saloon bar in hermosa beach California in a now critical pre-Nirvana era live performance video where Clark hagins and the Greenhouse Effect seem to be stealing the MTV IMAGE OF KURT COBAIN !! "the only problem is,...is that video was shot a year before anyone had ever heard of Nirvana during the glam heavy metal days when everybody was busy playing cheesey weedily weedily guitar solos and worshopping people like Poison and Kevin Dubrow,....G.e. 'was' an 'alternative rock band' into stuff like the Pixies and the Stooges,...and we were calling people out - furthermore; we hated heavy metal " says haggins...Everybody back in the South bay knows the deal,..the whole deal,...if they saw us jam with drummer Greg Tarpley at the Wilson Park festival in may 1991,...then they 'know' the truth ,..it was really G.e. who organized grunge rock in the media,...i was always communicating with record labels and magazines,....my brother Jeff and Flipper are both right on; ALOT OF GE SECRET IDEAS for emo rock marketing were stolen or 'augmented'.....or borrowed (Laughs) ......
