I suddenly had an idea to make a video of my Gigabit home network, the Enterprise, to show my friends and collegues how I work at home. My video storage and conversion server (Core2 Quad, 4Gb RAM, Vista 64-bit) is on the bottom left, right next to it is the 6Tb storage farm consists of 4 addonics storage towers. This is where the tens of thousands of movies, documentaries and recorded videos are converted and stored. It is also the media server for the rest of the network. Because it is the data centre, therefore the computer name is 'DATA'. The computer on the right (Core2 Duo, 4Gb, Ubuntu Linux Server) is for programming and research projects. I needed a more mental name for this computer, thus 'Troi'. A gigabit network switch sits on the Linux server. On the table are my Ferrari laptop (Scotty) and IBM thinkpad (James T Kirk). The monitor, keyboard and mouse are used to control both the Windows server and linux server. In the cabin (my own handy work) are my video equipments including a satellite decoder (DVB-S), a VCR recorder, digital sound receiver, Wii and the all important MG350HD Mediagate. On top of the cabin is my video monitor and keyboard, for the media capture station just recently upgraded (Core2 Duo, 4Gb, 2Tb Disk). Because all the dirty work of non-stop video capturing is done here, I named the machine 'Worf'. Downstairs is my main theatre. In the centre is the 65in HD plasma. Underneath on the left is a PS3, an HD set top box, VCR recorder, Satellite receiver, Hard disk recorder, Pioneer DVD player, and the second MG350HD unit. Upstairs is my work station, kinda messy. On the left is my computer for video editing (Picard, Core2 Duo, 4Gb RAM, 2Tb Disk). On the right is my wife Jenny's cute ASUS computer (Spock). In the centre is my old trusty pioneer receiver, all computers are connected to the receiver via optical cable. To the left and right are the B&W 602 speakers for sound monitoring. He was the source of some controversy with Bill O'Reilly from the O'Reilly Factor, and has been a guest on other Fox Shows such as Hannity & Colmes. He has also publicly disputed Bill Cosby for stating that african-american youth and the hip hop generation are not very productive. Watkins wrote "What if George Bush were a Black Man?" and "Everything you ever wanted to know about college", which he argues is an appeal to the MTV generation to look past 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, TI, Kanye West and others to explore their educational potential. Dr. Boyce is a Finance Professor at Syracuse University and a graduate of The Ohio State University. He recently spoke at The University of Kentucky and demanded that they increase their numbers of black students and faculty. He was also one of the instrumental black leaders behind the scenes during the cases with the Jena 6, Don Imus and Michael Vick. He worked closely with Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson, appearing on the air with them to suggest strategies to get Imus off the air. It was Dr. Watkins' idea to challenge his corporate sponsors that led to Imus' dismissal. He was also outspoken on Barry Bonds' situation and the OJ Simpson trial.
