Kenton County School District created a military academy for high school students interested in military careers. The school is geared to give students a taste of what military life is like. The teens also present the United States and Kentucky colors (flags) at public events. Trischoolsports catches up with the students as they practice raising the flag and present the the colors at the Simon Kenton High School Homecoming football game.

The band won the all "A" Class of the 2008 marching band competition this past fall. Now they will play at the rotunda in Frankfort at the Capital Building on Friday February 13.
