The Week of June 2, 2008
from Just Average American June 03, 2008
So Susan Sarandon will leave the country if John McCain is elected? For those of you on the fence, why risk splinters when, by pulling a lever, you can rid the country of another leftist Hollywood nut-case? Of course, if McCain is elected, Susan will go back on her word, as did the simpletons who made the same claim back in 04. Too bad. Barack Obama has left the building, his church building that is. Realizing that average Americans will not vote for anyone who associates with racist, anti-American, anti-female pseudo-Christians, Barack is finally trying to put some distance between himself and black liberation theology. Trouble is, Obama has enjoyed close fellowship with Wright and Pfleger (the white Catholic priest who managed to make Wright look mild by comparison) for decades. Just now we are learning that Trinity has received as much as $15 million of Uncle Sam s money, and Obama may have garnered ear-mark money for Pfleger s church as well. Usually, a presidential candidate s views on defense or the economy out-weigh his church affiliations. Not this time. The real Barack Obama is being exposed as was the Wizard of Oz, a point Hillary Clinton is repeatedly making to worried Democratic super-delegates. Speaking of Hillary, I don t think she will quit even if Obama locks up the necessary majority of delegates. Love her or hate her, she is correct about Obama s electability. With his weaknesses laid bare, Hillary will relentlessly push and prod for super-delegate support. Look for a real battle at the Democratic convention. Gas in my neighborhood is selling for $4.15 per gallon of 87 octane. Personally, I m tickled pink. Americans are about to find out there are real-world consequences of letting radical environmentalists set the nation s energy policy. So, I m driving as much as I can, and even thinking about letting the cars idle all night in an effort to drive prices as high as possible. A man s got to do what he can. I ve never been a Laker s fan, although West and Baylor were great players and enormously entertaining to watch. However, after seeing the Celtics limp to a victory over the Detroit Pistons, I m picking the Lakers in 6 games. Maybe 5. Kobe, Gasol and company have too much of everything for Boston. The Dodgers are in big trouble. Starting and relief pitching is inconsistent, while nearly a week goes by between offensive outbursts. Andruw Jones can t hurt them from the DL, but he can t help from anywhere. The club is exactly where it was last year: thin pitching and weak bats. Don t look for them to play in October. Have a great week! ShareThis
