Avengers the Initiative #15 - Shazap.com

Author: shazap Added: Fri, 08 Aug 2008 17:53:46 -0800 Duration: 95Welcome back zappers, Im Devin Curry with http://Shazap.com. Your online video source for comic book news and reviews. This book takes a pretty big step back in the time line. It takes place on the day of the invasion. It follows the character of the crusader who is a skrull that has chosen to betray his people and live his life as a human. It is an interesting back story for the character and a pretty compelling look at the decision of where to put his loyalty but like most of the Secret Invasion tie ins it is pretty insignificant. They also make it look in the end of the book that the earthlings are starting to win the fight when we know from the other books that the opposite was true and Nick Fury had to show up and get a bunch of people out of there to regroup. The only cross over that Ive found to be worth while and really necessary to the story is the New Avengers book because it actually has a unique story that is moving forward. I did enjoy the Run Aways/Young Avengers ...

I did enjoy the Run Aways/Young Avengers book but it is not essential to the story. If you re into the initiative and the characters of that story then you ll probably enjoy this one but if not it can definitely stay on the shelf.

The Mighty Avengers #16 - Shazap.com
from Revver - sexy Videos August 08, 2008
Author: shazap Added: Thu, 07 Aug 2008 21:53:41 -0800 Duration: 88So the Mighty Avengers book has taken on the duty of showing us how each of the avengers was replaced by a skrull. Weve seen Sue Richards story, Jessica Drews, and now they show are showing us how Elektra was killed. This is the best one that Ive seen yet. Electra put up an amazing fight. She took three super powered Skrulls down before they could take her out and there are some great action sequences. I didnt think the art was a very fitting tribute to send Electra off for her second and possibly final time. The art made her look like an old woman instead of the sexy, deadly warrior she is. The artist also doesnt do a great job of catching the characteristics of the characters. I mean if it wasnt for the costumes you wouldnt be able to tell who they were. Next issue is Hank Pym. Im starting to get a little impatient with this story. I love the story but I would like it to start moving again.

Brave and the Bold #15 - Shazap.com
from MoviesandTelevision - recent posts - blip.tv (beta) August 07, 2008
The brave and the bold is a collection of one shot team ups with the major DC characters. They are good reads on light days and when they involve your favorite characters. This issue, written by Mark Waid and drawn by Scott Kolins follows and adventure with Nightwing and Hawkman. This was a really entertaining story. As someone who loves the character of Nightwing it was cool to see not only his position with the other heroes in the DCU but also his brilliance for strategy and leadership. Hawkman wasn t really involved much other that antique consultant and letting Nightwing borrow his flying device. We got a bonus in this issue also with some good green arrow and dead man action as well. Again this issue was a really good read but if they re not characters that you re into then you can do without this title.

The Last Defenders is a new Defenders series, with some of old characters in the New Jersey initiative team. Sisterhood #1 was passed along to us by our friend Tom Sniegoski. Comic Book Reviews Invincible #48, Superman Confidential #12
from Dailymotion - most recent videos February 18, 2008
For this episode, we got our hands on Invincible #48, where we found a nice assortment of regulars from the Image universe. Atom Eve is back and although this book is short on story, we still recommending picking it up. Justice League of America #18 is a follow-up on the story line where the villains were sent to prison on another planet. It's a decent issue but we think it serves as filler and hope there's better stuff coming. Then in Superman Confidential #12, Jimmy Olsen's still causing trouble. The book feels a lot like the Superman animated series and the art by Phil Hester is really top-notch. In the speed round, we picked five books that we highly recommend. Check out Seventy Six #2, X-Factor #28, Wolverine #62, The Walking Dead #46 and The Punisher: Force of Nature. Then in the Mailbag we talk about our favorite one-shot comics. Kevin from Olympia, WA has a soft spot for Evan Dorkin's Fight Man. Tell us what your favorite one-shots are in comments!Author: pulpsecret Tags: comic book reviews comics funny invincible justice league america jla superman jimmy olsen atom eve one-shot wolverine fight man evan dorkin mailbag viewer mail Posted: 18 February 2008 Rating: 0.0 Votes: 0
