Cyberspace Biggest Music; SIX FEET UNDER By Greenhouse Effect Songs - SuperNETCelebrities.Com 1989.

7,274,929 Views - Six Feet Under Explodes as One of the biggest Internet Songs By the Web's Biggest Internet Band Greenhouse Effect. Youtube / GoogleVideoCom Video footage. Guitarist Phil Keegan wrote this surprisingly big song in 1989 as his move to assert himself and his ideas up against the constant Lead Vocal Plans Of Drummer at the time Clark Hagins. "The thing about 6 feet ,..its just exploded,..its one of our biggest and best and I cannot deny it,...the lyrics are great,...some say that the singing is not so great but I gotta hand it to him ,...the good doctor delivered the right prescription here...and I think the vocals are just right for the track !!" says Hagins. Haggins ofcourse is referring to Keegan who is known in musical circles simply as Dr. Phil - maybe a comic dig at his reducing hair over the years. "Without Six Feet and Brandy, ...I don't know where G.e. would be in history" says Haggins "But with them,...we become the web's most formidable band,...we prove we got the best songwriting and production in alternative music that there is ,..but that we can also sound like Clapton or Stevie Ray Vaughn ,..if we have to (Laughs)" SIX FEET UNDER is a marvel of Rock's most simplistic production styles yet this bluesy little 'tell all' song with the mighty angry terse lyrics that attack the recording industry with such accurate venom can be cringe-worthy and mega-thought provoking all at once ,...but always entertaining. "The fact that Phil Keegan sings one of the biggest songs on the internet that there has ever been is just plain funny to me" says Hagins "And it is so ironic how big this thing has gotten because when i first heard it - and those scary lyrics - I was shocked to my toes,...yet my foot tapped along,...and I wanted - and needed - to hear MORE !!,....Its a shame now looking back,..that Keegan never got a chance to further develope those vocals but he always said that he was a guitarist first - and he is,...he's the best and most important guitarist in cyberspace,..maybe one of blues and alternative rock's most important guitarists of all time ,..me and him,..we worked at Engima Records in 1989 as interns,...and I remember that there was a whole room of us,...me and a buncha other 22 and 23 year old 'dreamers',..we wanted record deals ,..but they had us on the phones,..and in the mailroom,,....like promoting metal and bands like Posion - I thought that was cheap - ,..they would have us like telling lies over the phone to radios and various media ,..telling people that Poison were selling big records when they really weren't,....pretending that we were fans and requesting radio airplay,..I thought it was too fake of an industry and I left,....I think flipper stayed for a few extra months,..he was trying to secure a record deal for G.e. - but even he was inspired to write this song SIX FEET UNDER from working as an intern at Enigma." 'Six Feet Under" was a vehicle that G.e. often performed Live in their hey day of the Late 1980's with Hagins handling the Lead vocal chores....."I had to Learn all those lyrics and sing them at gigs,..and I remember I began to "believe them" The millions of plays that the song achieves is a source of confusion and chagrine for Hagins as much of G.e's other material is bypassed as fans often just listen to two or three of G.e's many many songs "Yeah,....Do I think the song is worth it,..am I more than a little bit stunned at Six Feet - you bet I am " says Hagins "But I will take it,...G.e. gets alot of traffic ,..we are one of the biggest things video wise in the world that there has ever been ,...Six Feet only adds to the over-all glory that is the Greatness of G.e. - hey,..I love the song and I always did,..way back in it's day ,...I feel very quite proud that I actually 'promoted' this track a such a strong vehicle for G.e. - hey i ain't kiddin' you ,..now today, WE NEED THIS SONG - CAUSE ITS ONE OF OUR BEST !!,...IT takes the edge off - most certainly" SIX FEET UNDER has also been the gift that keeps on giving for the notoriety that is the greatness that is Keegan's guitar and the 'early days phase' that was the first incarnation of G.e. "Alot of people say that we sucked as a band without Keegan,...When Keegan left, we had to learn about being a band all over again,..and it was quite difficult,..but we managed,..we became great again,...I won't back down or back off on the second wave of G.e. because I know in my heart that 'Star' and "Brandy" are great tracks,..the rock opera is great,..but for a time with keegan,..we really were a magical band,..we were the pinnacle magic trio - the ultimate rock three piece, Carmody knows it and so too do I " Bassist Rick Carmody splintered away to join the South bay Redondo's One Handed Readers punk rock band as Hagins and the G.e. project drifted away into the rock wilderness, unable to ever achieve a pro recording contract. Hagins began to actually contact KEEGAN about 1995 and 96' to no avail. "I discovered that he had relocated to the Bay area in Northern California" says Clark Hagins "I really wanted to play live music again and I formed a band with my brother Paul - the guy from the Jades - about 1998 ,..and Meatwagon bassist Mike Rimmey,....but believe it or not - they threw me out of the band (Laughs) ,...now try to imagine that,..they kicked out the guy who wrote Brandy ??? (Laughs)........Brandy has made G.e. international internet superstars what with it's emo trappings but it is SIX FEET UNDER ,..and the early days phase of G.e. that will always get the band respect,........... "We were the greatest band ever - WE 'ARE' THE GREATEST BAND EVER,...people watch us and people download us more than any other band,..we are monsters of the web,..we are entertainers forever,....thats all that counts,..We make people watch and we always look like we're having a great time and rocking out,....we bring a smile" says Haggins - SuperNetCelebrities.Com

We are going to start this concluding chapter with my favorite Monkees song. It took me years to realize I had one, lol! We ll talk a bit about them having Jimi Hendrix as an opening act- Engineer Ken was actually at the concert at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium in Queens. Those teenybopper mothers were aghast. So it seems that the Monkees were hipper than I gave them credit for. During their 2nd season on TV they invited Frank Zappa and Tim Buckley on the show. They were at the Monterey Pop Festival in 67, although they didn t play. So, I gotta give them credit, those things were cool. In among the Monkees songs this time, I will play their last Top 20 song, and the original version by the Coasters- and I wonder how many people even knew there was a previous version. And to take us out, another surprise. A fun take on that favorite Monkees song of mine, by the writer of it. I ll bet you have never heard it! This show turned out to be a lot of fun, as I suspected it would and how they usually are for me. And I have revised my opinion of the Monkees. They weren t terribly important to Rock & Roll, but they were entertaining and valid. Come hear for yourself! Mike

Filmmaker Captures the 'Many Sides' of Leonard Cohen -- Exclusive Video
from Spinner on October 21, 2009

Filed under: News, Video, Exclusive, Movies It's well documented that in 1970, the Isle of Wight Festival got a little crazy. It was the third year of the festival and many of the 600,000 attendees showed up with no real intentions of paying. Sets from Bob Dylan, Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix captivated the crowd while Kris Kristofferson dodged bottles thrown his way and was eventually being booed off the stage. Performers were hit or miss and there was a feeling of angst and urgency documented, with militants setting fires nearby fueling the sense of unease. Following Hendrix's performance on the last day, Leonard Cohen took the stage after being awoken from his trailer at 2AM to perform with his band 'The Army.' Documentarian Murray Lerner -- who had been nominated for an Oscar for his documentary on the Newport Folk Festival in the 1967 film 'Festival' -- was there to capture the entire event and has recently extracted Cohen's performance in a DVD/CD combo entitled 'Leonard Cohen: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970.' "I wanted to show that relationship to the crowd," Lerner tells Spinner, "and how that seemingly obscure poetry was so well received. He was surprisingly successful he was at such a tense moment."

Brandy by Greenhouse Effect, Clark Hagins Songwriter / Nashville BMI, LOS ANGELES.

BRANDY by the Greenhouse Effect is One of the biggest songs World Wide on the internet in 2008. And 2009 Looks to be even bigger for the band that 'smells like' the next big 'thang' of the World !! ..Certainly, the Internet Universe has gobbled up G.e. and made Hagins and his songwriting exploits one of alternative 'emo' rocks most celebrated and new Pop indie music sensations of the college rock circuit !! and a household name ! - to ANYONE WHO OWNS A COMPUTER....this internet guru marketing genius says that his music is his key and not his ability to 'network' all across the net ,..and particularly on Myspace and Youtube... So what does Clark hagins think of Hip Hop artist who casually use his name and the project by Asher Roth "The Greenhouse Effect mixtape"; ?? Says Haggins; "You know rock n roll is hard work,...we in rock - we worshop people like Pete Townshend of the Who and Kieth Moon,...and Jimmy Page and Zeppelin and David Bowie,..real musicians that get all sweaty working hard and playing 'real' instruments like our rock n roll hero's - people like Jimi hendrix,....you know man,..we do not take kindly to people speaking into a mic and talking over some pre-fab electronic beat about crack and nonsense ! I am a real musician - a drummer and guitarist - who very complicatedly multitracks and overdubs instruments,...most of the whole music world fucking respects my fucking ass ya know,..i'm 43 years old and i remember the Yardbirds, and the Turtles, and the Monkees and KRTH 101 IN LOS ANGELES,...I'M A FUCKING MAN HERE !! I MAKE MY MUSIC AND FUCKING PEOPLE KNOW IT ...and they back up on away from me where ever i go now,..they don't dare talk shit anymore about the fucking guy with 60,000,000 views on google and millions of downloads of 'Brandy' and 'White Black',...i'm a fucking songwriter who plays real instruments - and i got no respect --NO FUCKING RESPECT AT ALL FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T !! SOMEONE WHO JUST YELLS INTO A MICROPHONE ABOUT HOW MISERABLE THEY ARE OR HOW FUN IT IS TO BE DUMB or how supposedly bad that their neighborhood is,...well,..THEY FUCKING DON'T KNOW SHIT; THEY NEED TO COME TO 251 AND MEET DOUG AND JEFF !! THEN,..THEY WILL KNOW REAL FEAR - THEY NEED TO SEE MY CHILDHOOD,..AND SEE HOW LONG ITS FUCKING TAKEN ME TO GET ANYWHERE IN THIS WORLD ...NOBODY FUCKIN' EVER LISTENED TO ME BEFORE MAN,..but they are listening to me now !! i think that the guy Asher Roth is actually ripping off the name from that 'other' hip hop act outta Ohio, man !! he's raggin' on THEM - NOT EVEN ME - AND THATS WHATS SO FUNNY ...I GOT REAL TALENT AND RAP MUSICIANS GOT NONE !! THATS THE BOTTOM LINE HERE,...me and great people like Phil Keegan who work hard to get to the top of the internet for success,..yeah,...we think that rap thing is a piece of worthless shit !! FUCK THAT !! WE WRITE REAL SONGS,..WITH REAL FEELINGS,..REAL EMOTION,..AND FROM REAL FUCKING LIFE EXPERIENCE OF SUFFERING MAN ,..WE'VE WATCHED PEOPLE DIE OF fucking CANCER N SHIT -...we ain't gonna take this ,..and we've been called Greenhouse Effect since FUCKING 1985 !! FUCK THE MUSIC INDUSTRY - THEY STEAL NAMES, THEY STEAL STYLES, THEY STEAL IMAGES, THEY EVEN FUCKING STEAL YER SONG - AS FLIPPER WOULD SAY !!
