This video is a brief update on the working information we have to go by about the jammer - the company supplying China with the equipment used, the frequencies of stations it is jamming (which is relatively pointless because there are so many) and the general uneasy feeling about the whole thing. I was surprised by the interest in the Firedrake radio jammer - other people have heard it, and lot's of people who listen to shortwave radio know it's there. Although, China hasn't mentioned anything publicly. No western government has said anything. It's pretty much business as usual. In the lead up to the Olympics, the jammer's use seems to be increasing. A dual-head Laser Pro Park System fitted on a Mercedes C230, tested against the Stalker Police LIDAR.

Laser Pro Park laser "parking sensor" fitted on a Mercedes C230 was tested against Stalker LZ1, a police LIDAR gun used to catch speeders. The vehicle accelerated up to 100 km/h, then was targetted by the LIDAR gun. The driver slowed down to the speed limit (50km/h), then turned off the LPP system. Target speed was acquired at 29mph, at 440ft away. It shows that Laser Pro Park is extremely effective in a real-world scenario.

Cruising down SE Marine Drive just past midnight on a rainy night, Valentine One detected K-band at an unusual spot. The radar signal strength quickly jumped to a full blast. I dropped my speed quickly from 90 km/h down to the speed limit at 50 km/h. Valentine One did its job very well!
