Issues Under Fire: Barack Obama Is A War Gamer

Given the amount of time, President Obama has taken to arrive at his decision to escalate America’s footprint in Afghanistan; much to the chagrin of many in his own Party, he must be on to something that has eluded most experts, analyst and even the "know it all mainstream media." Whatever went on in all those "offline" meetings with his war council must have been so huge, that only a brilliantly cultivated brain such as his could foresee an advangtage in ramping up American troop levels north of 100 thousand strong to confront a relatively insignificant presence of Al Qaeda.

Issues Under Fire: Democrats Could Use A Litmus Test of their Own

This Sunday past, Texas Republican Dick Armey slurred his way through a reasonable explanation of his Party’s recent idea to provide a litmus test for future nominees to pass, if said nominees wish to receive support from the RNC. It is a rare occasion when we find ourselves in complete agreement with the Republicans. Mr. Armey’s assertion that the Party simply wanted to establish a foundation of core values, was the most responsible and forward thinking proposal the Republicans have come up with in decades. Keep in mind; we in no way agree with those core values, we simply agree it is a good idea for the Democrats to emulate.

Congress put on quite a show this weekend, passionately arguing on the Senate floor over whether or not to make the same lame arguments next week over a watered down healthcare bill that will neither provide true reform or control cost. The same con artists that have always protected the special interest groups against the very people they are charge with representing have bamboozled the citizenry again.

To tease its eager audience, they ask what people will be talking about tomorrow. Well thanks to Mr. Olbermann and company, we not only have the challenge of telling you what people wont be talking about tomorrow, but also why. Because the mainstream media has a new toy to play with for the next week of news cycles, thinking people will have to expand their net for serious news beyond the boundaries of American media to keep atop of issues affecting their lives. This latest media circus started even prior to the moron’s rollout on Oprah’s daily pity party for pussies and was in high gear when Fox News predictable defended this walking talking mental defect with the same cadre of conservative talking heads we’ve all grown to know so well and despise so thoroughly.

In a jaw dropping in the NY Times yesterday, reportedly China is far more interested in the US deficit than Americans having universal healthcare. Considering the Chinese are the ones fronting the cash, it is within reason they'd want to have a say on what we can and can not afford. Perhaps this revelation explains why the president never came out full square for "real" healthcare reform. Knowing he'd be chided privately by our benefactors for spending too much, the president simply went along with the charade of letting Americans think they really had a choice.

Knowing fully, that what she and her fellow Democrat Congressional cast members had promised was a far cry from the end product produced late Saturday night. Ms. Pelosi flashed a her polished dentures with confidence and convincingly told her audience she had delivered what America really needed. This sterling performance was delivered from the same staunch supporter of a women s right to choose, that signed off on a bill that would deny poor women access to an abortion on any government back plan. Apparently her years of hamming for the cameras prepared Ms Pelosi to be able to employ her acting skills like a battery powered strap-on to screw women just like a man.
