Well I was doing research on antique sound reproduction when I was surprised by the positive response to my presentation of Paul Whiteman's Japanese Sandman. That I decided to Records Side-A of Victor records Number 18690. In this version I combine all my research about equalization curves and speeds. This record is recorded at 67 RPM to match the Piano Roll of the same song and I used the Inverse RIAA on the 33 1/3 RPM recording speed. Then two de click filters and speed up the record to 67 RPM. Then I took liberties to brighten the sound and capture the Bass. The end result I believe is my best youtube video up to this date. This record is a gem but I'm unable to determine if the harshness of the sound at the beginning is because the stylus is too small (2.5 mil) or the records was over played. I hope my 4.0 mil stylus comes so I can get a few of my 1915 records on here. SO as always leave comment and suggestion as I present Paul Whiteman's Whispering. Recorded on 08.08.2008 in Albuquerque New Mexico in an ION TTUSB turntable using a 78 RPM Shure Stylus. A chance gig at the Ambassador Hotel in Atlantic City in 1920 brought the band to the attention of the beginnings of Symphonic jazz, to the Company executives of Victor records. The rest is history.
