Bleeding Edge TV 194: SanDisk Sansa TakeTV Demonstration
from The Bleeding Edge December 26, 2007
Add To Your Site: When it comes to the SanDisk Sansa TakeTV device, we ve done an unboxing video and even show you how to set up the TakeTV in your home. In our latest video, we show you how the darn thing works. We have it hooked up already, so now it s time to put some content on it and fire it up. Do note, the Sansa TakeTV does ship with a couple of sample video clips already on it in case you just want to test your setup. Once we put some video files on it, we were able to watch some of them on the device - we forgot that the TakeTV doesn t support high definition video, so those clips failed to play. Other than that, this is really a no brainer. There isn t even a complicated menu system. You plug the device in to your TV, and you get a list of videos to play. Easy. Check it out, and let us know if there are any other questions we can answer for you guys. Here's how to get the show: Subscribe: iTunes iPod / H.264 | iTunes MPEG-4 | RSS H.264 Feed | RSS MPEG-4 Feed |Download| - iPod-formatted H.264 |Download| - Apple TV High Resolution |Download| - DivX |Download| - MPEG-4 |Download| - 3GP Mobile Phone Tags:

The Pros and Cons of Making Video in a Controlled Environment
from Website Video Coaching May 13, 2007
Setting up a Virtual Studio for Your Vlog or Website Video If you watched my last website video, you might have noticed that I sound a little bitter about shooting videos outdoors. I m not suggesting that you ban shooting you video outside because I really do enjoy making outdoor video, and with the type of camcorder and video equipment I use, makes producing video outside a no brainer. The point I was making on that last vlog post was that you need to be prepared for some unwanted video distractions. And let s face it; these types of distractions are going to rob you of your precious time. I don t know about you but I m always struggling with the time issue. There never seems to be enough time in my day to get all my video work done. And working with video definitely takes some time. Think about it. First you have set up camcorder, maybe tweak the video lighting, check your microphone and do a sound check, position yourself to make sure you have proper framing and then you can finally start shooting. So going through that ritual every time can be a daunting, and time draining experience especially if you plan on posting video on a blog or videoblog on a regular basis. So if you have an extra room, or a garage, or maybe some extra space in your basement, consider setting up a virtual studio where you can produce your videos in a controlled environment. Having your own little video studio will help eliminate distractions. It will also help you expedite making your videos by saving you time on setting up your video equipment every time you want do a vlog post or podcast. Now the only downside to this type of set up is that you have the potential of boring the heck out of your viewers. What do I mean by that? Well let s face, talking head video, where it s just me sitting in front of my video camera and talking, can be BORING! The human attention span is very limited. So keep your videos short and to the point. Most people will not sit through a 10 to 20 minute video unless the content is considered extremely valuable to them. A 3-5 minute video is much easier to watch. This is something I also need to work on because I noticed some of my videos going over the 5 minute mark. Last point. Try to build some type of video set or stage that includes props or visual aids that compliment the subject or theme of your videos. This type of virtual studio will help hold the interest of your viewers. internet video, personal webvideo, streaming video, vidcasting, vlogginginternet video personal webvideo streaming video vidcasting vlogging
