From : Buzz Out Loud from CNET<br />Microsoft considers switching its bid for Yahoo to all-cash. Because they have a lot of cash. Bill Gates, on the other hand, is practically a pauper, at least per Forbes' annual billionaire list. In other news, the MPAA turns out to have made record revenues in 2007, erasing any and all sympathy anyone might have left for them.

From : Buzz Out Loud from CNET<br />Google Gears is the project that allows online apps to be used even when you don't have an internet connection. Microsoft is apparently making noises about Silverlight being used offline as well. So apparently offline is really hip again. Good for it! Plus I get nailed with a pricing analogy, and we decide Alex is the new anonymous.

Not at the Oscars, at an FCC hearing. Insult to injury: they totally fell asleep! Oh, and Microsoft has to pay more money to the EU. As usual.

From : Buzz Out Loud from CNET<br />Electronic Arts isn't taking no for an answer from Take-Two, and Pakistan gives us an object lesson in why censorship is bad: in an effort to block YouTube in that country, they took out YouTube for the entire world (for about two hours) and then got themselves taken offline altogether. Wow. That's a day's work, right there.
