Redondo Beach Music Bands , (People that..)Greenhouse Effect
from YouTube :: Tag // mefeedia October 26, 2008
Redondo Beach/ Torrance Music scene 1992. "People that Won't back down" is a Greenhouse effect song from June of 1992's 'Agenda' cd and Rock City Productions Records....Says Jeff Snow of the Boston Massuchesettes Label; "Out of all the artists that I've ever worked with, Clark Hagins is probobly the best, a master songwritor as i have commented on youtube and myspace, this guy didn't dabble in the road much traveled, ..rather, he took huge chances musically, he wasn't a typical beer soaked punker or metal head with a bunch of boring tattoos...he was a complete original with fresh ideas never done before,...except maybe by the who and Led Zeppelin and Bowie".."He tried and failed to keep good ol' classic rock alive,..nobody listened to him"..'can't believe he never got signed to a major ,.." Steven Hoovernton, Fort Lauderdale Florida's Crazy Pen mngnt; "I've managed this guy since 1988..apparently he's from this Redondo Beach Place where all this punk is supposedly from,..but if you CANNOT SEE that Clark Hagins is more punk rock than anybody , then to hell with those people there,..they just don't like the guy for what-ever..." Greenhouse Effect is probobly best known for organizing Five Wilson Park 'fest' shows full of punk and metal bands as financed by Hagins...as well as other Hollywood club fest shows with 6 or 7 band line ups...Hagins quit the business in 1992. Second Dan - Forget to Remember
from Rock Music Video August 13, 2008
Author: cyberprvideo Added: Wed, 13 Aug 2008 13:54:19 -0800 Duration: 275"Bringing Down Goliath" is the debut album from New York City based indie-rockers, Second Dan. The album doesn't just have good songs, they have the potential to be anthems. Like hearing U2 for the first time in the early 80's, Second Dan's album captures that mixture of intelligent songwriting with infectious music reminiscent of The Replacements with a nod to Brit-pop Oasis and early Radiohead. http://www.seconddan.com http://www.arielpublicity.com

Hungover Stuntmen, Inside Out
from YouTube :: Tag // storm February 27, 2008
Every once in a while a band comes along that catches you unaware and blows your mind... They've worked in the studio with some of the best producers in the industry and played live alongside some of this country's greatest artists... and they're still yet to release a record! Humble and unassuming, Hungover Stuntmen are 4 Geordie lads who, since taking the Newcastle music scene by storm, will head out on a UK tour aiming to conquer its four corners and everything in between. Armed with their custom Rickenbackers, Telecasters, rock n roll riffs and heavenly harmonies they already have headlined Ibiza Rocks, supported The Kooks, The Futureheads, The Subways, Get Cape. Wear Cape, Jools Holland and even shared the stage with the Modfather himself - Paul Weller, who was such a fan that he invited them back twice! Equally as impressive in the studio, they attracted the likes of Mark Wallis (U2, Morrisey and Travis), Steve Cradock (front man of Ocean Colour Scene) for their early demo recordings before securing Andy Taylor (guitarist of Duran Duran) as the final producer for their debut album - 'Blame the BBC' released 5th May. Heroes in their hometown of Newcastle (where their songs are regularly played at St James Park), the boys also boast a loyal following in Switzerland - after hearing their record, ex Formula One champion Jacques Villeneuve flew them straight out to the Swiss Alps to perform for him. The Japanese also join the list of nations falling under their spell - super fan Yu Kamidozono travelled an amazing 11,526.52 mile round trip to see the band play live in London!! The Hungover Stuntmen release their debut single 'Inside Out' on 17tH March and their album 'Blame the BBC' on 5th May. The Bittersweet Way live at The Paper Heart 07/18/2007
from - blip.tv (beta) July 20, 2007
The Bittersweet Way opened for Benni Hemm Hemm at The Paper Heart in Phoenix, AZ on July 18th, 2007. This is the video from that performance. My apologies for the beginning of the first song being cut off. I neglected to let our videographer know that our set started off with some noodling. He thought it was just a sound-check. My bad.I know that at least one other person recorded the show. I'll try to get a hold of him and see if he got the whole thing.For this appearance, The Bittersweet Way is:jedidiahmarkfoster - guitar, ukulele, vocalsthom martin - floor tom, snare drum, ride cymbal, tambourine, maracas, organ, synthesizer, pan, bell plate

Square: an Alternate Universe
from The Orange Peels: Lost in Orbit April 25, 2006
Square Home Demos. This is how our debut record would have sounded if we hadn't signed with Minty Fresh. During our transition from Allen Clapp and his Orchestra into the Orange Peels, Allen Clapp (vocals, guitar), Larry Winther (drums) and Jilll Pries (bass) recorded an almost-complete version of Square on a four-track cassette recorder. Performed with reckless abandon. Recorded with questionable fidelity. No narration. Includes full demos of: She is Like a Rose, On the Way to Somewhere, I Don't Mind the Rain, Everybody's Gone, All the World Could Pass Me By, and Take Me Over. Also includes a partial demo of Spaghetti-O Western and a live, on-air performance on KFJC of a mid-60s Charlatans song, No. 1, which we were going to cover on the album but didn't.
