Sarah Palin is no reformer, she is more of the same, with one exception. Oil has made Alaska rich. She thinks Alaska oil will make the USA energy independent. Indicted Senator Ted Stevens (R), tells us otherwise. Stevens says: "It's a long term concept". Palin refuses to consider developing alternative energy sources such as wind, sun, water and geothermal. She wants to Drill, Drill, Drill. In her mind, drilling makes us less dependent on foreign oil and therefore, magically, safer. She shows why she is unfit to ever serve as President. God Save America if John McCain has a stroke, a heart attack or another bout with face cancer... Palin's good looks, a former beauty queen, is not going to save America. Sarah Palin negotiated for a new Natural Gas Pipeline. She gave the contract to a Canadian firm. Why not an American firm? Are we supposed to believe that Americans don't know how to build a pipeline? For years the Natural Gas reserves of Alaska have been trapped on the North Slope with no way to get it to market. In many cases it has been flared off to get to the oil. This is a horrible waste of a clean burning fuel. The use of Alternative Energy such as Wind and Solar for electricity, and the use of Natural Gas for Transportation Fuel will reduce our dependence on Foreign Oil by 38 percent. Natural Gas can be the bridge to the fuels of the future such as Hydrogen. But Big Oil seems to have McCain and Palin's attention...
