The Cornerstone #16: The Absolute Predestination of Christ
from Revver - video Videos July 15, 2008
Author: AirMaria Added: Tue, 15 Jul 2008 19:39:31 -0800 Duration: 389Ave Maria! Fr. Maximilian shows how Scotus, in contrast with the opinion of St. Thomas Aquinas, held that the predestination of Christ was absolute, sin or no sin. To say, with Aquinas, that the primary motive of the Incarnation was redemption from sin is to say that the Word-made-flesh was occasioned by sin; this makes the primacy of Christ relative to sin--No sin, no Incarnation--this is the Thomistic school. To the contrary, Bl. John writes: If the fall were the reason for Christ's predestination it would follow that the greatest work of God [the Incarnation] was occasioned. For him this was absurd. Rather, Bl. John finds the primary motive of the Incarnation in something prior to foreseen sin and holds that sin or no sin, the Word would have become flesh.Links: Outline of the doctrine of the absolute predestination of Christ at Irish-Catholic and Dangerous BlogThis video series is based on the book A Primer on the Absolute Primacy of Christ by the host Fr. The Cornerstone #14 - Sacred Eastern Architecture
from Most Recent July 12, 2008
Author: AirMaria Added: Sat, 12 Jul 2008 08:34:57 -0800 Duration: 368Ave Maria! At the Monastery of Bethlehem, of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and of St. Bruno in Livingston Manor, NY one sees the Byzantine and Eastern traditions reflected in the architecture of their Monastery Chapel and the hermitage chapels. Apart from any consideration of sin, the structure of God's plan is union with the Most Holy Trinity through the mediation of Jesus and Mary. Thus the Incarnation elevates man to be a partaker of the divine nature--what the Greek Fathers call theosis, divinization, or deification. If man had not sinned, there would still be the mediation of Jesus and Mary; there would still be adoption as children in Christ Jesus and divinization; but there would have been no need for the Cross, for Redemption. Sin or no sin, the Divine Architect has the same design--Come to Me through Jesus Christ and His Immaculate Mother!This video series is based on the book A Primer on the Absolute Primacy of Christ by the host Fr. Maximilian M. Dean, FI. Ave Maria!

The Cornerstone #7: Ephesians 1:3-6 & The Franciscan Thesis
from Revver - school Videos June 29, 2008
Author: AirMaria Added: Sun, 29 Jun 2008 14:27:21 -0800 Duration: 510Ave Maria! The entire philosophical and theological school of Bl. John Duns Scotus hinges upon predestination. In order for anyone to be predestined before the foundation of the world in Christ Jesus as God's adopted children, God must first predestine the Sacred Humanity of Christ! In this program Fr. Maximilian begins to unveil how Ephesians 1:3-12 presupposes the absolute primacy of Christ and how it indicates other motives of the Incarnation than Redemption from sin. Ave Maria!

The Cornerstone #5: Bl. John Duns Scotus & The Incarnation
from Most Recent June 26, 2008
Author: AirMaria Added: Thu, 26 Jun 2008 08:24:30 -0800 Duration: 340Fr. Maximilian Dean - Bl. John Duns Scotus (1265-1308) was a Franciscan priest, theologian and professor at Oxford University and the University of Paris. He was famous for his subtle doctrine, especially regarding the Immaculate Conception, and has come to be known as the Subtle Doctor. Because of his doctrine of the Absolute Primacy of Christ, sin or no sin, the thesis that holds that the Word would have become flesh even had Adam not sinned has come to be known as the Scotistic or Franciscan Thesis. Bl. Scotus bases his doctrine on predestination as found in Sacred Scripture and Tradition, and upon simple logic: God wills the created universe in an orderly fashion. I Love Atheist Bimbos
from YouTube :: Tag // tag June 05, 2008
This is a FAIR-USE VIDEO. Disclaimer My conscious is at peace under the "just war" understanding in Christianity. We RESPECT the RIGHT of Atheists to not believe and to voice their objections against what they believe to be Christian tenets of faith- What we will NOT TOLERATE is the inconsiderate and cruel violation of our dignity as human beings because of our religion. Atheists abide by the "Dawkins Doctrine" which licenses Atheists to insult Christianity because they believe our faith to be a "fairy-tale." In spite of the historicity of the Judeo-Christian faith and the daily experiential relationship that we enjoy with God, these very same "intellectually-superior" Atheists feel that it is their MORAL DUTY to insult our faith AND us. Therefore let it be noted- since we understand this belligerency to be an act of VERBAL WAR for the sake of eliminating the Christian faith and the freedoms that it has bestowed to us in this Western Society, we stand up in the tradition of countless CHRISTIAN WARRIORS to defend our faith under the proper RULES OF ENGAGEMENT. If you are a Christian who does not know how to differentiate between the ETHICAL STANDARDS as they are found in the Sermon of the Mount AND the theology of "just war" which is in itself a NATURAL RIGHT OF PRESERVATION, then you have bought into THE EXTREME SELF-DESTROYING PACIFISM that Atheists rely on in order to carry out their ANTI-CHRISTIAN AGENDA. All Christians do not necessarily have to join us as VERBAL COMBATANTS...we ONLY ASK THAT YOU PRAY AND SUPPORT US FEW CHRISTIANS who are willing to defend Christianity with their lives.
