Shepard on July 28, 2008, the day the announcement for the new Ross Bahamas Campus took place in Grand Bahama Island. Here we visit Dr. Shepherd in the boardroom of the Grand Bahama Port Authority and learn about Ross University as well as their plans for the Bahamas Campus. Dr. Shepherd explains why Grand Bahama Island was chosen and the economic benefits to the Grand Bahama community in having a medical school year round. He also explains the medical program and about the requirements needed for students to apply and be eligible.As soon as January 2009 students will be learning on location at the Freeport Interim Campus at Seahorse Shopping Plaza, and in 2010 the Permanent 60,000-80,000 square foot Campus will begin to be operational.
