Touhou 8 - Imperishable Night - No Deaths Extra Clear
from YouTube :: Tag // second life August 21, 2008
Holy shit, now this is what I'm talking about! After tons of failed runs and verbally abusing my computer countless times, I finally nailed a clear of Imperishable Night's Extra Stage without losing a single life, as well as capturing all 13 of her main spell cards. Yes, I did not capture Imperishable Shooting, but I could care less; this is just about as good as it gets, and as for now, I am never touching this Extra Stage again (at least, in terms of playing it for perfection). I end up bombing three times, one being a regular bomb and the other two being Last Spells (I usually call them deathbombs, but apparently they aren't the same thing). The first bomb occurs when I battle the death fairy, and all I can say about that is "whatever." I hate that piece of crap and even though it has a "fairly simple repeating pattern," I've never bothered to learn it. Both Last Spells appear fairly late in the run, but in rather obvious spots: during the attack patterns where Mokou shoots circles of cards around her vicinity (kind of reminds me of Flandre's QED). Mokou uses this pattern three times, each one a bit faster than the one before it. Ultimately, I use a Last Spell on the first appearance as well as the final one (which is where everything becomes hell). As for the run itself, I honestly couldn't be happier. Many runs were ruined due to stupid mistakes (mainly with Keine), and I absolutely hate the randomness of Phoenix Tail even though it is relatively easy (that spell card just loves to screw you up when you are having a perfect run up to that point). Perhaps if you look close enough, you can see my nervousness through my playing (this is probably most apparent during the very first phase of Possessed by Phoenix, where I look like I'm too scared to actually move down through the purple danmaku). And lastly, for your viewing pleasure, this is my first video on YouTube that has the option to be viewed in High Quality. With that said, I highly recommend you watch this in High Quality; you won't be sorry. Oh, and also, blame FRAPS for any lag spikes. FRAPS can only record a single .avi file up to 3.9 GB, after that, it creates a new 3.9 GB file which lags my computer like hell for a second or two. Imperishable Night - Extra: Part 2
from Dailymotion - channel gaming July 24, 2008
I didn't initially put much effort into beating Mokou until last night. The fight is long and difficult, just like that of Flandre and Yukari. I can't really put my finger on which of them is the hardest though. I initially want to say Mokou, but there are aspects of the others that are too different to compare. Fujiwara no Mokou's Spellcards #195 Limiting Edict Ihakasa's Moon Curse #196 Immortal Fire Bird-Flying Phoenix- #197 Fujiwara Flaw of Forgiving Shrine #198 Deathless Xu Fu's Dimension #199 Forgiveness Honest Man's Death #200 Hollow Giant Woo #201 Everlasting Phoenix's Tail #202 Hourai Fujiyama Volcano #203 Possessed by a Phoenix #204 Hourai Doll I've captured all but the final 3, just not all in the same run, obviously. I can't decide if I want to continue on with Touhou or not... perhaps for now i'll take a break.Author: moomaria Tags: Imperishable Night Mokou Touhou Posted: 25 July 2008 Rating: 0.0 Votes: 0

Imperishable Night - Unseasonable Butterfly Storm
from YouTube :: Tag // storm May 19, 2008
Wriggle Nightbug's Last Word from Imperishable Night, captured by me. Typically the first Last Word most people unlock, UBS took me a good 100 tries for the first capture. The capture shown here is more recent and more efficient. Author: AgelessObsession Keywords: Touhou Imperishable Night Last Word Wriggle Nightbug 206 Unseasonable Butterfly Storm Added: May 19, 2008

Malice Cannon versus two of Mokou's hardest spellcards. Malice Cannon wins. And I always thought Possessed by Phoenix was an endurance spellcard!Author: Suaimhneas Tags: Touhou Imperishable Night Malice Cannon hax Posted: 12 May 2008 Rating: 0.0 Votes: 0

Touhou - Imperishable Night - Spell Card 206
from YouTube :: Tag // storm April 02, 2008
「季節外れのバタフライストーム」"Unseasonal Butterfly Storm" Wriggle's last word, a pain in the ass even when you know what to do. See that swirl-shaped bullet pattern she puts out to begin with? You'll notice that the rotation is clockwise. Whenever that swirl is going clockwise, you want to focus on going to the left side of the screen. The second wave will then have an anti-clockwise rotation - meaning you'll want to start going to the right side of the screen. Touhou 8 IN []Stage 6A, Part 1[] - 1cc Normal, FinalA
from YouTube :: Tag // second life March 17, 2008
Stage 5 is over here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=rpZQkXpyV3I Because the video is so long, I'll have to split it into two parts. This reaches up to the spellcard This is only the second time I've chose the FinalA route. Almost every other time I chose instead to take on Kaguya and get whupped by her Impossible Requests. That said, I'm surprised I managed to survive through it, but fundamentally speaking, I guess I'm not surprised. Eirin's not that different from Remilia if you look at it purely from a bomb-management point of view... Anyways, on to what happens in the vids. It seems I still panic on the miniature stages that Touhou's final bosses usually have. I had it down perfectly and, even though mid-boss Eirin was coming to wipe away all those bullets, I used up a bomb anyway since I was afraid of messing up. On the other hand, this had the effect of really screwing up her initial attack since Yuyuko's bomb, Ghastly Dream, lasts so long on the screen. :D ... Then I mess up on Earth in a Pot. The key of it is to make sure to stay in the center of the circle that gets created, as dodging the outside spray might as well be impossible as opposed to the slow-moving bullets inside. Memories of a Legendary Age is also easy, I just didn't notice fast enough. You might say, "But Shokatshin, you have all the time in the world to get out of the way of a telegraphed laser!" However, keep in mind that, as I said on my Stage 1 vid, I'd started this run at midnight and I was ending it way past then. Thankfully, the non-spellcard following it was even easier. ... Game of Life goes back to the kind of easiness that Memories has, but again, I was still asleep. My mind somehow processed that the blue bullet spread that Eirin laid out was completely a wall so I only tried to move within the space given. Don't do that! Wade through it left-to-right like you would all slow bullets. Omoikane's Device punishes my inability to react at this point. The paths to move around are very obvious but considering how tired I was, I should've known better than to push my luck. After dying the first time, I should've spent a bomb rather than wasting two on a Last Word... In any case, this is only the first half. Imperishable Night Stage 4 Powerful
from Videogames April 30, 2006
This is the B route on Lunatic difficulty in Boss Replay mode (fast forwards throughs the normal enemies) which takes you against Marisa Kirisame. (The game has two different stage 4 bosses, and if you use Marisa's team, then you fight against Reimu, one of the characters in the team I'm using)
