In response to the ELCA's recently approved Statement on Human Sexuality, for the four Wednesdays in October we will take a deep, theological look at the issues surrounding human sexuality, especially homosexuality and what the scriptures say.This will not be a pro or con, but a compassionate look, by compassionate preachers, at the teachings of the Bible, as well as many misconceptions and misinformation circulated by a minority of people.The sermon series will take place on the four Wednesdays of October during 8:00 pm worship so we can bring in gifted preachers who are well versed in these issues.The first week is about grace. Justification by grace through faith is the cornerstone of our Lutheran tradition. We profess that we are in bondage to sin and cannot free ourselves, yet when we discuss sexuality, we sometimes get lost in what others say and not what we should say in faith.The preacher in this video is Rev.
