FuseBox Radio Broadcast for Week of November 17, 2009

from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) on November 19, 2009
Duration: 11366
This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of November 17, 2009 with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary. Our commentary this week focused on the terrible situation with the death of 5 year old Shaniya Davis in North Carolina, Sammy Sosa's obvious issues with skin color (SMH at the bleaching scenario saying it was a "skin softening treatment") and how that reflects on the ingrained "if you're Black, get back" physical mentality along with some other things here and there. We had another great interview this week with author, businessman & activist Professor Devin Robinson (http://www.DevinRobinson.com) of Going Against The Grain Group (http://www.IAmGoingAgainstTheGrain.com), Taking it Black University (http://www.TakingItBackBlack.com) and The Black Hair Project. We touched base on the current 1 week national U.S. boycott of non-Black owned Beauty Supply stores and how that ties into what Prof. Robinson calls a constant "economic hate crime" that occurs all over the United States to the Black Community in regards to the road blocks in establishing one's own businesses in comparison to other ethnic groups, the exchange of money within the community and other things here and there! There are new episodes of Black Agenda Report and Direct EFX segments this week. ホットニューシングル「Clutch Shooter」と「do what it do」を収録したデビューアルバム「Clutch Shooter」を発表。 myspace http://www.myspace.com/kamakazinextlevel Twitter投稿用のショートURL (music tweet via Song.ly) http://song.ly/14wec [Buy CD / mp3 at CDBaby] italian japanese phenom rapper kid kamakazi just rerleased club banger w/high energy, dance beat clutch shooter この作品はポッドセーフです。

Voces Rebeldes [v 2.0] 2009

MySpace ______________________________________________________ Rebel Voices The aim of Rebel Voices is to see Hip Hop as a narrative thread linking stories of struggle and resistance to the neoliberal system that generates economic and social apartheid. Working in two dimensions: from a local point of view (barrios) and from a global perspective, reflecting how the market economy is repeatedly a cause of violence, marginality and inequality everywhere. Tending a bridge that allows us to understand some of the different struggles with common roots that use Hip Hop as a kind of loudspeaker and form of expression, this work is meant to see how creativity is used to negotiate the borders imposed by the current geopolitical re-organization of the world. Music has always been part of the identity of towns and culture. This continues to be the case in the 21st century, but now it is as part of the global culture, which fuses and is reinvented as sounds and local customs are mixed, in a constantly enriching dynamic. Hip Hop is a music that has, since its origins in marginality, been defined by the struggle against invisibility, and the constant search for identity. Rebel Voices doesn t aim to delve deep into the origins of Hip Hop, but rather to use this culture to gain a deeper understanding of seemingly different countries on different continents, which have a shared origin. The lyrics are the inspiration to conceive a visual landscape of the social reality and politics of the different places. In this way, the voices of these protagonists surrounded by extremely complex conflicts will help to find a different way of expressing themes relating to marginality. It is interesting to see how globalisation has managed to spread Hip Hop from the most powerful country (the USA) to the rest of the world. But its no less interesting to see how, when the established formulas of the globalizing process of power are changed, from a counter-power, the result isn't homogenisation but rather reappropriation and transformation, which generate another form of globalisation, that of resistance. Rebel Voices wishes to see conflicts from another perspective, looking at societies form a constructive point of view, without turning away from pain and injustice. An authentic remix of culture, politics and resistance. [here our MySpace]

Led by Super Guitarist Phil "Flipper" Keegan (Dr. Phil of Northern California Top Club Rockers Roughpuppy), this Redondo Beach Calif. Trio revolutionized the way that the music industry approaches alternative and emo garage bands and their music. As far back as 1985, Keegan was stepping on his array of effects peddles and producing an atrocious "Grunge" sound emmiting from his Fender amps that could literally make ears bleed!!. "Racers" and PRECARIOUS are two early tracks that demonstrate G.E'S knack for musical superiority over ALL competition. "Number One" and "The Magic Man" only further solidify 2009's Biggest Rock Band on the net - seen over One million times a day - and blasted to stunned listeners in Top Radio rotation at Jango and Last.fm ...Pandora Radio calls G.E. "A breath of fresh air in a room full of farts in 2009",....they make the web sound refreshing,...their look, their style ; THIS IS THE FABULOUS G.E. and the zeus 1000 Notistine Linking robot marketer tool !! AS THE BIGGEST SEEN entity in cyberspace, Hagins Laughs it off as he cruises past phonies with limited talent like Perez Hilton and Tila Tequila !! A potential "reality show" depicting the now 44 yeard old Hagins as he cleans swimming pools in San Diego's North County is in the works - also ofcourse as he talks about and documents the success - all the while - of G.E. music - Hagins funnest Topic of all !! Clark Hagins got his start nearly 30 years ago in 1983, '84 era circa, drumming for the South Bay's Jim Mellon Quartet in Redondo Beach / Torrance California,....Today, blasted over the internet as that communities biggest talent - And most known, Hagins would throw elaborate music 'festivals' beginning in the 1980's - often booking the most talented punk rock and metal bands from around Los Angeles and the South bay, amongst them Prop 13, the White Kapz, Death THIS IS THE FABULOUS G.E. and the zeus 1000 Notistine Linking robot marketer tool !! "Other bands email me , ..wanting to know how I do all this " says Hagins "its pretty clear that we have that Song Brandy and THAT does alot of the work for us,....but one needs to know alot of 'other tricks' and tagging ideas too,....plus ofcourse ya gotta have alotta talent and new ideas too,..if ya just sound like more boring shit like Green Day and My chemical romance and rap hip hop music,..then yer gonna suck,...yer gonna need promo then and alot a ' robots n shit,....We are very fortunate to have Brandy in our collection " Hagins doesn't mince words when he speaks of his beloved Greenhouse Effect; "We just look weird,...we're unusual,..we were like the original geeky Weezer,...people laugh at Palle and Ted but then they realise the music is Great !!"....."People all around me in North County as I clean my swimming pool route,..they can't get enough of this fucking shit,...THEY LOVE IT,....THEY don't like to venture too long into G.e. cause like ya can't get out ,..you'll be there for hours,...its too God-damn fun and interesting,....its obvious we got hit Songs" says Hagins,.....We just got more in our brains than Perez Hilton will ever dream of having,...that fucking guy is WORTHLESS; HE HAS NO TALENT !!
