7,274,929 Views - Six Feet Under Explodes as One of the biggest Internet Songs By the Web's Biggest Internet Band Greenhouse Effect. Youtube / GoogleVideoCom Video footage. Guitarist Phil Keegan wrote this surprisingly big song in 1989 as his move to assert himself and his ideas up against the constant Lead Vocal Plans Of Drummer at the time Clark Hagins. "The thing about 6 feet ,..its just exploded,..its one of our biggest and best and I cannot deny it,...the lyrics are great,...some say that the singing is not so great but I gotta hand it to him ,...the good doctor delivered the right prescription here...and I think the vocals are just right for the track !!" says Hagins. Haggins ofcourse is referring to Keegan who is known in musical circles simply as Dr. Phil - maybe a comic dig at his reducing hair over the years. "Without Six Feet and Brandy, ...I don't know where G.e. would be in history" says Haggins "But with them,...we become the web's most formidable band,...we prove we got the best songwriting and production in alternative music that there is ,..but that we can also sound like Clapton or Stevie Ray Vaughn ,..if we have to (Laughs)" SIX FEET UNDER is a marvel of Rock's most simplistic production styles yet this bluesy little 'tell all' song with the mighty angry terse lyrics that attack the recording industry with such accurate venom can be cringe-worthy and mega-thought provoking all at once ,...but always entertaining. "The fact that Phil Keegan sings one of the biggest songs on the internet that there has ever been is just plain funny to me" says Hagins "And it is so ironic how big this thing has gotten because when i first heard it - and those scary lyrics - I was shocked to my toes,...yet my foot tapped along,...and I wanted - and needed - to hear MORE !!,....Its a shame now looking back,..that Keegan never got a chance to further develope those vocals but he always said that he was a guitarist first - and he is,...he's the best and most important guitarist in cyberspace,..maybe one of blues and alternative rock's most important guitarists of all time ,..me and him,..we worked at Engima Records in 1989 as interns,...and I remember that there was a whole room of us,...me and a buncha other 22 and 23 year old 'dreamers',..we wanted record deals ,..but they had us on the phones,..and in the mailroom,,....like promoting metal and bands like Posion - I thought that was cheap - ,..they would have us like telling lies over the phone to radios and various media ,..telling people that Poison were selling big records when they really weren't,....pretending that we were fans and requesting radio airplay,..I thought it was too fake of an industry and I left,....I think flipper stayed for a few extra months,..he was trying to secure a record deal for G.e. - but even he was inspired to write this song SIX FEET UNDER from working as an intern at Enigma." 'Six Feet Under" was a vehicle that G.e. often performed Live in their hey day of the Late 1980's with Hagins handling the Lead vocal chores....."I had to Learn all those lyrics and sing them at gigs,..and I remember I began to "believe them" The millions of plays that the song achieves is a source of confusion and chagrine for Hagins as much of G.e's other material is bypassed as fans often just listen to two or three of G.e's many many songs "Yeah,....Do I think the song is worth it,..am I more than a little bit stunned at Six Feet - you bet I am " says Hagins "But I will take it,...G.e. gets alot of traffic ,..we are one of the biggest things video wise in the world that there has ever been ,...Six Feet only adds to the over-all glory that is the Greatness of G.e. - hey,..I love the song and I always did,..way back in it's day ,...I feel very quite proud that I actually 'promoted' this track a such a strong vehicle for G.e. - hey i ain't kiddin' you ,..now today, WE NEED THIS SONG - CAUSE ITS ONE OF OUR BEST !!,...IT takes the edge off - most certainly" SIX FEET UNDER has also been the gift that keeps on giving for the notoriety that is the greatness that is Keegan's guitar and the 'early days phase' that was the first incarnation of G.e. "Alot of people say that we sucked as a band without Keegan,...When Keegan left, we had to learn about being a band all over again,..and it was quite difficult,..but we managed,..we became great again,...I won't back down or back off on the second wave of G.e. because I know in my heart that 'Star' and "Brandy" are great tracks,..the rock opera is great,..but for a time with keegan,..we really were a magical band,..we were the pinnacle magic trio - the ultimate rock three piece, Carmody knows it and so too do I " Bassist Rick Carmody splintered away to join the South bay Redondo's One Handed Readers punk rock band as Hagins and the G.e. project drifted away into the rock wilderness, unable to ever achieve a pro recording contract. Hagins began to actually contact KEEGAN about 1995 and 96' to no avail. "I discovered that he had relocated to the Bay area in Northern California" says Clark Hagins "I really wanted to play live music again and I formed a band with my brother Paul - the guy from the Jades - about 1998 ,..and Meatwagon bassist Mike Rimmey,....but believe it or not - they threw me out of the band (Laughs) ,...now try to imagine that,..they kicked out the guy who wrote Brandy ??? (Laughs)........Brandy has made G.e. international internet superstars what with it's emo trappings but it is SIX FEET UNDER ,..and the early days phase of G.e. that will always get the band respect,........... "We were the greatest band ever - WE 'ARE' THE GREATEST BAND EVER,...people watch us and people download us more than any other band,..we are monsters of the web,..we are entertainers forever,....thats all that counts,..We make people watch and we always look like we're having a great time and rocking out,....we bring a smile" says Haggins - SuperNetCelebrities.Com

1,395,721 Views - "Brandy" by the Greenhouse Effect band from LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA serves as Alternative Rock's ultimate One Hit Wonder Classic Modern / Relic Song at the SAME TIME. Redondo Beach Songwritor Clark "The Shark" Haggins penned the Song in the summer of 1991 along with his other well known hooker of the web "The White Black Song". Both Songs appeared on the 1992 double cd - The Rock Opera "White Suburban Liar$" an album which functions as G.e's masterpiece and Legend Of great musical releases of the South Bay area. Haggins and his band proudly wear the crown as "The Most watched and downloaded band on the web" as from country to country "G.E." is quite beyond popular, often racking up the net's hugest viewership ...ofcourse led by Brandy. Hagins cringes at the brutal "One hit wonder" tag that much of the South bay and Los Angeles has bestowed upon G.e. "Greenhouse Effect is so much more than Brandy and White Black" says Haggins in June 2007 "We are great songwriters and our phase with our former guitarist Phil Keegan has to be one of the most remarkable in Rock music". Keegan formed the band along with bassist Rick Carmody and Drummer Rich Hebben in 1985, Long before Haggins would join the group. The aggressive "Grunge rock" of the early days and standard songs like "Precarious" and "Racers' made G.e. a household name around the South Bay of Redondo Beach and Los Angeles in their hey Day. By 1987, G.E. had completed fullfedged demo "recordings" as dominated by Keegan. Hagins vocals and drumming also were quite noticable as G.e. were set to take on the touring world of rock before inner band squables and a well publicized mess with L.A'S BAM Magazine shut the band down by November 1992, leaving Hagins with a top collection of songs but no band to play them as Bassist Rick Carmody moved on to other punk rock bands in the South Bay among them one of the areas most well known in the ONE HANDED READERS. BY 1995, rumors of a G.e. comeback were in full swing but still Haggins and Carmody could not agree or come to terms and by 1997, Haggins declared any comeback attempts for the band as "dead". The internet and the 2000 millineum has brought G.e. back with a thunder as the band dominate search engines and Brandy eats up Top web and internet radio airplay at Jango Radio, Pandora, Radio Japan, Clear Channel, and others,..Indie Link as well. Today, the bizarre looking funny three piece band known as Greenhouse Effect are a goliath of cyberpsace. The Great songs defy the band's weird demeanor of Haggins and Carmody. The hit songs propel G.e. to a seen stature that other artists could only dream of - and a trail that EVERYBODY wishes they could blaze as well. Working with some 26 different twitter accounts 24 hours a day is an ongoing adventure for tiny G.e. but Haggins calls it well worth it; "We're a big thing now,..fuck man, We're the most watched Rock band in the history of mankind,..Lets be perfectly honest here,....People recognize me everywhere I go,..I am a legend,....G.e. looks real,...G.e. is human, We make mistakes and we suck,....that is the key,..We are one of the worst bands that I have ever seen ,..but its sad and its funny,..its fucking pathetic really,..we tried so hard,...we weren't cool people,..We were dorks,...thats why so many losers and nerds love us,..We're big in japan and the middle east,...I think that the fact that we are just so really lame is the whole reason why we are so fucking brilliant,..we're sorta like a collision of the Monkees and Weezer,..but even more awkward than that" Haggins often angrily attacks those he feels do not understand G.e. in his many blogs; "I hate KROQ RADIO,...THEY ARE SO FUCKING LAME AND BORING,...KROQ SUCKS,..THEY ARE ONE DIMENSIONAL AND TOO CONVENTIONAL,....there is no diversity there,...that radio station fucking sucks if they won't play Brandy mp3 download by G.e. ,..We get more web traffic than ALL their bands combined !! I FUCKING HATE KROQ ,..THEY FUCKING SUCK !! AND HAGGINS is not timid when it comes to attacking artists that he feels are shallow and ruin music ; "Bands like Green Day suck and so to do the Foo Fighters. Dave Grohl sucks...Dave Grohl is boring and ordinary,...He is not a star,..he tries to grow long hair and beards to show how rock n roll classic he is,...real classic rockers see right through him,....they think he is a fucking dork,...real people who know real music always think that Dave Grohl sucks,..the guy is pathetic,...All his songs sound the same,..like a buncha boring ass shit that was recorded on Pro Tools,...FOO FIGHTERS SUCK,....THEY TRY TO BE COOL,..they try to show off how hip and 'knowledgable' that they are - I don't fucking like that shit " So is there any music from today that Haggins "does' like ??. "I like Airbourne and Dragonforce,....I like cheesey metal bands from the 1980's because they are real honest hetero guys who drink beer and chase women - they are real men - REAL HUMANS WHO ACT NORMAL AND NATURAL !!" Hagins continues "I don't like all the phoney Liberal P.C. SHIT thats out there like Coldplay and u2 - they both fucking suck,....I like people who act like themselves,...Like its their dying hours,...." The explosion of Greenhouse Effect musical success on the web has not exactly shocked Hagins; "I'm not really surprised,..we're a great band,..we get all sweaty and we are great showmen,...We are pure professional entertainers,..we make people laugh and cry cause its so 'real' ,..we hide nothing,..we are fucked up true dysfunctional people from weird families,..We are the greatest band of all time,..We don't need tattoos or piercings,....We just wanna make you Laugh and rock out !! As one of the web's most read, known, and Greatest writers or "Bloggers", Hagins sees his writing ability always improving at www.thegreenhouseEffectrocks.com "I write straight from my heart,...I say exactly whats on my mind,..If I am a Christian than I am a Christian,..If I am rightwing than that is what you get !!,...Sometimes I get pissed off at my fellow conservatives and sometimes I fucking don't !!,....I am an old fashioned Taurus ,..a penny saved is a penny earned,..yet I always manage to lose all my money,...often giving it all away to others,..Go figure that,....Sometimes I am veery much kind of a Liberal myself !" Hagins says that writing straight from the heart and getting more people to read him than they do of Perez Hilton is extremely 'free-ing. "Or you can say that people like my readings because I write straight from my FARTS" Says Hagins Supernetcelebrities.com

378,491 Views - LOS ANGELES. Greenhouse Effect have come roaring back in 2008 and 2009 to crushing views and downloads on the internet, Top chart success at Myspace and Youtube, "Other countries" explosive plays of their Mega Hit single BRANDY, A 1000 $ Dollar payday "side stage" offer to play California's Coachella Festival, and top rotation at JANGO RADIO ! NEEDLESS TO SAY, its been quite a year for the pinnacle three piece 'trio' band that "Started it all". "We are and were THE musical revolution of the 1980's and 90's" says Clark Hagins in November 2009. "With so many people now knowing about me and my music, learning about Phil Keegan, and Great People Like Jeff Snow at Rock City Productions in Massachusetts,..and so curious about all of our web tactics and Jango Radio,....its great,...we have everything in place EXCEPT for the major airplay at FM RADIO in America,.....AND we'll get THAT next" says Hagins. Hagins gushes about a hopeful upcoming "reality show" about him and his music plus his swimming pool cleaning possibly on Halogen Tv airing in 2010. "My surfer nephew has a show called "Wave Hunters" that is gunning onto airplay with Halogen,..there may just be a G.e. thing in the works soon,..although millions of people have seen me so much,....I'm alot like Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters,...theres a hella lotta people that are sick and tired of me,...but fortunately for me,..i got this nerdy Weezer Rivers Cuomo type of thing where G.e. is so "lovable" ,..we're like Woody Allens,..they love us in France and Japan,....We got geekey guys in the band like Ted,....even Palle too,..we are charmers,...I hope people will tune into my tv show soon,..I hope they're not too sick of me and Brandy n all" Hagins speaks fondly of a recent rehearsal where he and new drummer/ Surfer Hagan Kelley rocked in San Diego's North County's Goblen rehearsal studio in Vista Ca. "Its kinda sad because years ago, Goblin burned to the ground and their guy Darren - who is just such a terrific great guy,..he really struggled to get Goblen studios going again so we bands can play there,....We bands NEED a place to play,..to jam,..it means alot to groups that are struggling too these days,...but me and Hagan pulled off a great show,...We did play Brandy pretty tight,....I don't think we were quite ready to play that Coachella thing last summer but Hagan suggested that we just go there and play the whole ENTIRE gig in our underware, smashing all our gear,..and I was like 'but dude,..we don't HAVE any gear,..we would be smashing someone elses' gear (Laughs)" Darren from Goblen often "loans" Hagins and other bands musical gear to jam with for a small fee,...."Maybe if Darren loaned me the absolute crappiest guitar I could smash it at a concert and he might not mind (Laughs) " adds Hagins Hagan Kelley's surf program documents his trips to Mexico and maybe Fiji where he surfs waves, hunts for "Art chicks" and listens to "Gone" old tapes by Greg Ginn from Black Flag. "Hagan's show "Wave Hunters" is gonna be part of Josh Shipp's Jump Shipp I think" says Hagins.... Meanwhile in the U.S. , G.E. continues to rack up astounding numbers in cyberspace as the "World's biggest internet rock band" feeding off their song Brandy mainly and footage of historic G.e. concerts back in the South Bay of Redondo beach California like the Show at the Hermosa Saloon on August 16, 1991 ,..where G.e. appeared to be 'copying' the look, style, sound, and demanor of Seattle band Nirvana - Ofcourse at the time, there was no Huge Nirvana known as their "Smells like teen spirit" video and "Nevermind" album had yet to be released and heard of.." Our band was so innovative" says Hagins "For years , i tried and tried to convince all the major labels to sign us and i begged them that 'grunge' rock was gonna be the next big thing - this is very common knowledge in the South Bay,....everybody THOUGHT that I was crazy and insane,..they said that 'alternative music' was never gonna make it ,..and that it was subject only to the 'bargain bins' at record stores,..well, I fought like hell,..not just for me,..but for ALL EMO BANDS,....WE WANTED TO DESTROY heavy metal and bands like Skid Row and Def Leppard,..it was a tough tall order,....when i suddenly saw Nirvana going off huge,..i was a little stunned,...I mean i was a little happy to see that my ideas could work in the big time of the main stream,...but then I began to get bitter and angry and i wondered how it was,...how was it possible that G.e. of all bands ,..still couldn't get signed,...even with our song BRANDY in 1992,..it really bummed me,..out,..it made me give up and quit ,..by late 92' ,..I was over,..G.E. WAS OVER !! Our bassist Ted had quit and went and joined a punk rock band called the One handed Readers in Redondo,.....me and Palle Carlson tried to keep G.e. alive ,..but then he went back to Denmark,..man,..it was sad,..things were falling apart fast,....then, I saw all those bands like Weezer and Green day in '94,..THATS when i knew it was really over for me,..and i was only 29 ,..back then,..but in those days,..THAT was considered old !! In the South Bay,.... Hagins began the live part of his musical career jamming with bands like Palos Verdes demo project "The Cloud Chamber" before moving on to jam with fellow Redondo guitar rocker Steve "Stevo" Stepanian - where Hagins played drums before jamming with a multitude myriad of different South Bay punk bands, among them B.P.S. (beats per second) and "Outlash Control" before settling in as permenant fill in drummer for the Jim Mellon Quartet and the CVB (Christine Valley Band) with Joe Groovey dude and John Hall from Youngstown Ohio and many drunken nights at the Hermosa Saloon where huge loud blues gigs were often "Led" by Hagins - from the drum kit. "Its funny,..in the South Bay, I had just like this HUGE reputation as a drummer - but NOW most of the world knows me as a guitarist (Laughs)" says Hagins in November 2009. "Brandy" has turned Hagins into an overnight success and more than a household internet word ,..where millions of plays and downloads ,..many often 'originating' in the South Bay before spreading all across the country and the world "My dad was like this heroic school teacher at Palos Verdes High School,..he was Gary Hagins Teacher and his students really loved him and his dark sense of humor,...they rallied around HIM and now today, from all across the United States,..they rally around ME - I AM THE SON OF GARY HAGINS,..SCHOOL TEACHER ,..THATS LIKE BEING THE SON OF JESUS OR WAYNE GRETZKY IN CANADA,....'THATS' HOW MUCH HIS FORMER STUDENTS LOVE MY DAD !!,...I LOVE MY DAD - He's such a great genius thinker,...he writes great books,..he would have been a great blogger in cyberspace,....my dad has cancer right now,..he is very sick,..and 80 years old,....but he is still very sharp of mind,..he recently had a heart attack and stroke,...i will do every thing in my power and all i can to make sure 'all' of my dad's great books get published - I KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE GOOD - BUT GOOD IN THAT GRAY AREA WAY - where people don't really understand you,..My dad is GREAT LIKE THAT - HE IS A GENIUS !! I'M GONNA SEE TO IT THAT ALL OF HIS WORKS BECOME FAMOUS AND PUBLISHED !!! Its in our Family DNA to create Great Art.... HAGINS credits many nights of rehearsals and gigs at places like the Hermosa Saloon in giving him the confidence to play rock n roll music..."I was NOT always a nice sweet friendly guy to people,..but i could be very cool and kind too at times if given a chance..,..All that they try to say about me is not true,..its a big misunderstanding usually ,..I was just fighting to get to the top - THE TOP OF ROCK N ROLL AND GRUNGE ALTERNATIVE MUSIC,..Very determined....ITS A BUMMER THAT I COULDN'T have made it and hit the big time back in 1991 or 92" says Hagins "but this is how God wants it,..I'll just have to rock out now - for the world - at age 44,..and I will help bands like the Spongetones and Batlord along the way !! ======================== Hagins says that he "has to blog" and thoroughly enjoys writing - even more than music "Its like sex being a blogger" says Hagins "especially when yer one of the world's most known,..its nice to know that people read my shit" - "My dad was and is a Great writer,...and writing is difficult,..you have to organize and remember a lotta stuff ,..like as if you yourself are a computer,...it takes a ton of patients and passion,...its difficult and tough,..but 'IF' you enjoy it,..THAT makes it all fun and worthwhile,....I just wish I could get paid for this shit (Laughs)...." =================== Hagins says he didn't always get along or have the greatest relationship with his dad "I don't worry about that old shit now to the point of it killing me,...people on youtube come on there and they say nice things and they try to help me,..its been a struggle,..my dad did what he had to do and he was tired from teaching all day,..he still managed to devote time to his Church and his followers,..and i am ONE OF THEM !!...He fed me food,....and he put a roof over my head" =========================== Jango Radio has been quite useful as Hagins manages to get plenty of World-wide Airplay for songs like "Brandy" and the "Black or White" Song along with what Hagins calls "Crucial airplay' for the Phil Keegan guitar era of G.e. "My music is just pop flap,..its three chords with verse chorus verse kinda shit,....but it IS the Phil Keegan on Guitar era of Greenhouse Effect that makes Our band so unique and special,...we were real true warriors ,..standing up for bands like "Book of Talesian" era Deep purple, the Who, and the Yardbirds with keith Relf,..we were real 60's junkies,..THAT is what became grunge with "Precarious" and "Racers" and 'Waiting for your love to fail"...plus Rick Carmodys important 'flannel image',...If i could turn back time,..I wish atleast TWO of our important gigs had been filmed and I had them to document today and that would be this one gig that we played in 1987 at Madame Wongs where me and Ted were all decked out in flannel,..we did it in honor of Neil young and Mike Watt mainly (Laughs),...no,..in 1987,..we weren't doing it for Kurt,..(hisses),...Me and Ted always thought that Nirvana sucked ,..and to a degree I still do,..those guys are fucking Lame - atleast compared to G.e. - but then again,..ALL bands suck ...next to G.e. - except shit like Rush and iron Maiden - THAT SHIT is hella good !! I can't touch THOSE !! ANY BAND after Sept. 24, 1991,..I don't listen to,..maybe Weezer,..and thats all,..the rest of it sucks,...I respect Nirvana for all their luck and timing n all ...and skill - one cannot deny them,...but i don't respect Green Day at all - NOT ONE BIT,...I WOULD SPIT IN THAT GUY'S fucking little face .....

"The way I see it,..I have to get these bands as big as me because they are friends who have said kind things about me,..they are into David Bowie like me,..I appreciate that" In 2007, G.e. garnished their 2 Millionth 'view' of the 1991 Song "White Black Thang" and a new song is doing well on the web called "Brandy" that Clark Hagins predicts will be big on the web; "Brandy is a tight hook, I test it by checking my Google internal stats and I see how many people back in the South Bay in Redondo Beach are viewing it and downloading it,...that gives me an indication that it will also do well in Sweden or Turkey or Russia or Israel,....the model is,..If I can get big views from torrance to Hermosa Beach and i see all those people getting into it - and there is like 80,000 People there - then I 'know' the song is gonna be a success"....

The Reverse Engineers. This Florida band hits World listeners with a big passionate sound based in very similar rock music territory to Rush, The Fixx, and The Police. There is definitely a very distinct 1980's feel to their very good warm roomy sound in their almost (at times) prog rock like songs. "Mercury in Retrograde" is the opening song on their hyper-dynamic now very well known and Florida legendary cd "Max Q". Unlike many post 1991 Nirvana era bands that use a nasal whiney vocal idea, distorted heavy guitars, and or 'emo' strappings all over their music, Reverse Engineers sound very 'classic rock' "authentic" more than practically any other band of the new millineum. The band is comprised of just three guys - Florida's Coty brothers - but when they play, it sounds as if 5 or 6 are playing yet 'the three piece band feel' is still extremely evident and present. Their album is a classic and it feels as if it is trying to be as totally unique and bizarre as it really is. The band has a genius in their self muse and they seem to know and revel in it. There is a pure and honest seriousness to Reverse that definitely is lacking in most alternative rock of the past 18 years. There has been criticisms against the band for being too righteous and seriously pointed - an aura from the outside that asks the band to 'lighten up' but this is to disunderstand Reverse. The band feeds off their seriousness and does contain a sense of humor in places and portions but it is certainly NOT the fun and games stuff that will have one listening to Reverse Engineers (and singing along to it) in the shower or bath-tub. This is a demanding hard emo band. They have short hair and they seek no tattoos or affiliations or confirmations or affirmations at all. "Sunshine with the Shade" is another example of the deep serious nature of the band and it is a song that propels them across the internet to their listeners. Reverse Engineers is a "fans band",.....you probobly have to really have heard them quite a bit to really get into them but maybe not.....One listen to songs like "Out of body" will definitely have just about ANYBODY tapping their feet along. Reverse Engineers are clearly Florida's most known and respected 'important' throw back alternative rock band and they keep the past alive and well as their music still yet carves out 'an original sound' from today that is virtually unbeatable and unchallengable by today's common emo or alternative rock band ; 2009 Supernetcelebrities.com This isn't a Rush tribute band as some have written. If you're into Rush, there is a real possibility that you may not even like these guys as out side of "Mercury" , this music goes into a direction more along the inclined lines of Tears for Fears or maybe David Bowie in ways. Reverse Engineers are hyper-original and THAT is exactly what they are.
