A western North Dakota man has died of hantavirus. The state health department announced the death today, but would not release details of how the man contracted the disease. Hantavirus is spread through exposure to bodily fluids of rodents such as mice. It is not passed from human to human. The last hantavirus death in the state was in January of 2007. The health department is planning a press conference tomorrow to give details of this latest case.
