LBCHP is establishing the New Orleans Breast Cander Early detection clinic, the only such service in the New Orleans area. The Clinic will provide at least 300 low-income uninsured women from the metropolitan area of New Orleans high- quality, free breast cancer early detectin services. The LBCHP is a program of Louisiana State University, and partially supported by a Community Health Care grant from Johnson & Johnson.

The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile, three-day walk that benefits the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust (NPT) Breast Cancer Fund. Breast Cancer 3-Day participants walk an average of 20 miles a day during each three-day event, raising awareness in communities and generating funds for research education and community outreach programs.
