Presenting the Point Dread Players Present The Powers of Preternia Official Design-Contest #2: Mystery EldersIn various parts of the MYP cartoon show we were shown the members of the Council of Elders both in their regal robes, and in their pre-council attire.In every MOTU continuity the Council of Elders has been an important part of the mythos, but it will eventually be shown that they are particularly important to the "Powers of Preternia" saga.Most of the Council-Members have either had their characterization in the audio-drama established or planned at this point, but two members remain blank slates. The purpose of this contest is to write brief bios for one (or both) of these characters. Give me a name, a history, an allegience, a purpose and a goal for these guys. Entries should be short and to the point, please do not submit 10 pages of fanfic, I'm looking for no more than a pagaraph or two for each entry. You may enter a single bio for a single character, or one entry for each. In the event that different entrants submit winning entries for each character, there will be two winners announced.Winners will be chosen based on bios that will work best with the "Powers of Preternia" setting and story. There's a whole season-and-a-half to go still so, don't worry if you have an idea that doesn't seem to fit the first half of season one, the story is going to be going in new directions, and your bio might help determine one of those directions.The prize is that your vision for this chracter (or both characters) will be used as an official part of the "Powers of Preternia" full-cast audio-drama. Your name will also appear as part of the closing credits. As an additional bonus, any winner which chooses to try out will be considered for voice work for the character that they helped create.The contest will run until September, though I reserve the right to extend the deadline, or close the contest early depending on the response-level.Entries may be submitted to this thread, or alternately emailed to us at feedback@pointdread.orgAnd here are the designs, as seen in the MYP MOTU animated series, and as rendered by Tigerburn:
