This video is nothing special... but it was fun to make it. I drove with my car and a Sanyo Xacti HD-1000 around Barcelona. I've used two ways: 1. La Ronda 2. Avinguda Diagonal As you can see, you need much more time to go over the Avinguda Diagonal . The footage was captured in August 2008. There are only tourists in Barcelona. All spanish people are on holiday in August... Video sketch in the dark street when I walked pass this tired man on 9th Avenue one night this summer. He walked pass me earlier, collecting cans in his huge plastic bags. Further up I found him resting, sleeping peacefully against a building wall. I appreciate how much work he has to do, scouring street of the city to make a living. While shooting, I wished him a dream as beautiful as the bokeh. Shot with Xacti HD100, edited with iMovie. Cast: moriza

My Xacti baby (300 gramms) + Century Fish Eye now always at hand. Only still quite difficult to get the best macro setting, no jumbo HD screen at hand. So I focussed on something with high contrast at close range and locked that as auto setting, but doesn't work always as good. Now this time I just got some impressions of the pleasant times with my friends in an old cafe in Edam (Cheese City). As non smokers we are all so happy smoking in bars is not allowed any longer in Holland! More info on this band: Mariandoro.com Cast: Jan van der Meer

Do you use a Sanyo Xacti HD1000 camera? Have you seen the green mp4 of death? Not sure why? Well, my friend Mary Matthews of Videopancakes.com also had this problem recently and she pointed me to this Apple discussion thread to help her decipher the solution. Seems that the QuickTime H264 component that came with your Xacti software worked great with your camera, but then again QuickTime gets updated by Apple every few months and that little bit of software that makes your HD files actually work gets replaced. Huge bummer if you want to, oh um, use your footage. I sat down with Mary and helped her reinstate this little component and I thought I'd make a screencast walking through it so others could fix their systems too. There are some other solutions on that Apple thread if this doesn't work, but I hope it does.
