So the Hawaii Superferry is at an all stop. Why? Well many are concerned about the EIS not being accomplished and therefore believe the Superferry should be banned from the outer islands. In Maui a Judge has issued a TRO restricting the Superferry from traveling there. On Kauai the citizens got together and staged an in water protest to block the Superferry using their bodies. One thing that really gets to me is the disregard of Aloha towards the local residents. I ask again, where has the Aloha gone? Got problems with Superferry then take it up with them, not your neighbors and fellow Kamaaina. Able to carry 866 passengers and around 282 cars maximum, this is surely going to be one of the greatest new ways to get around in the islands. Starting in September of 2007 local island residents can travel between Oahu, Maui and Kauai and in the near future the Big Island of Hawaii will be added as well. This truly is the H-4 of Hawaii.
