Virginals From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Harpsichord, piano The virginal or virginals (the plural form does not necessarily denote more than one instrument) is a smaller and simpler rectangular form of the harpsichord, with only one string per note running parallel to the keyboard on the long side of the case. Identified by this name by 1460, it was played either in the lap, or more commonly, rested on a table.[1] While the name apparently comes from the same root as the adjective "virginal", the reason for this name is obscure. Note that the word "virginal" in the Elizabethan and Jacobean eras was often used to designate any kind of harpsichord; thus the masterworks of William Byrd and his contemporaries were often played on full-size, Italian or Flemish-style harpsichords and not just on the virginals as we call it today. Contemporary nomenclature often referred to a pair of virginals, which implied a single instrument, possibly a harpsichord with two registers, or a double virginals (see below) Author: vaporthug Keywords: Harpsichord instrument virginal Added: May 23, 2008

DOLCE plays Snow Storm another 198k ~PC
from YouTube :: Tag // storm May 02, 2007
This video has been chosen to show off this game (Beatmania IIDX: GOLD) for the purpose of: e-mailing this video to companies such as Dave & Busters and TILT Arcades in hopes to bring IIDX GOLD to the US. This video displays a fairly difficult, yet popular song, played by DOLCE: one of the top 5 (or so) players in Japan. On the screen to the right: "notes" fall down until they hit the red bar. The hands hitting the keys and turntable: The main point of gameplay. The "notes" correspond to these keys and turntable. On the screen in the middle: The custom-made (made especially for the song being played) official video by Konami. Very eye-catching and addicting! Want to see more? Check out an easier difficulty video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osuJ7VYyD6A Check out a medium difficulty video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD0xb8MlX1M To see another arcade machine at work: go here! pending...
